who is the greatest in marvel? Spider-man? Hulk? Who is the best all around hero in both powers and personality.

 

[The Question]

Well, in terms of what qualifies one as a hero, Captain America is definately the greatest hero in the world of the Marvel Universe. Brave, honest, and willing to charge head first into threats that would give the likes of Thor a hard time for the sake of others. In terms of the best character, that's a tougher one. Spider-Man was definately a revolutionary character for his time. Changed how the industry looks at it's characters. However, in terms of being an origional, entertaining, and well written character, I'm going to nominate two individuals:

its not spidey for one simple reason,he has givin up being a hero like 8 times.captain america,although changing his identitiy after believe he was unworthy to represent his country has never stoped loving and respecting and charashing his position as a hero.Hes a hero,full out.

what are you talking about?.Anyways,I still believe him to be the best,besides what i mentioned he stillupholds the same values he did all those years ago,the golden rules of being a hero and hed still take a bullet for some random person weather he had a healing factor or not.He also chose to be a hero,it wasnt an accidant.

wow u really dont know ur captain america history do ya. capt quit bein a hero after he learnd of the corruption in the govmerment and the other people i mentioned stepped up and took his place, capt aslo didnt choose to be a hero he had no choice. he was created to be a weapon, and that is what he is a a weapon with the made in U.S.A printed on his backside

true, but you could say that some of the best superheroes never had a "choice" then. Peter Parker didn't choose to be bitten, and the same goes for every mutant, but plenty of them are still heroes. Cap could've stopped after WWII, but he kept being a hero when he didn't have to, so he did choose to be a hero, he just didn't choose to get super human abilities...

Hmm. im not quite sure i agree capt is a victim of his abilities by this i mean he was created to fight in a war, that war is long over,and everyone he was known at that time is gone, thus he often forced to help people cause he can save them cause of his abilites, much like spider man he doesnt want to be a hero but he cant sit back and do nothing when he has abilities to help people
