I'm actually quite a fan of his Gotham Knight look so here's hoping we see something similar to that. Even if toned down he still looks like a super-villain.

He looks less like a Deathstroke knockoff with this kind of mask.

Eh. I'd prefer a full-face mask.

The full mask that appears like one seamless piece of metal is semi-alright as it could be said to be just shiny fabric. But the Gotham Knights one really was like metal strips. Not that I understand why the metal mask at al. He's not disfigured, he doesn't have a full on on-board computer that needs a HUD like Tony Stark or someone, and if it's a protection of the face thing (cos he does seem to fancy himself doesn't he) then Jason Todd has a much better idea going.

If it's not protection or something AI-like, then the Arkham city mask is much better

btw the media is exploding with Arrow news now.
The Hollywood reporter, tvline, entertainment weekly.
Ksite also has some interviews,
Matt Mitovich is also tweeting about Arrow right now.

Really like how the island flashbacks will be used until the series finale.

Yeah, he was awesome in Gotham Knight, but i don't think that mask would work well on a tv show budget, the look shown by Hunter Rider may fit the tone better

I like that army look too. Also some nice interviews for the show. The island flashback idea sounds cool. But then on other hand if show last multi seasons I don't really see it being wise to have ending shot be scene from pilot again.

Really? I see it as bringing it to a nice full circle.

I wouldn't mind seeing it in the end of the show. That would be full circle. But using it every week because the show is dwelling on his origin could reek of Smallville and stagnation. I hope they don't do it.

It actually doesn't sound a damn thing like Smallville.

But I agree that using it on an episodic basis seems unnecessary. It'll wear thin. I mean, yes, he was there for five years, but just how eventful could that have been? How long before they start delving into "This is how Jack got his tattoo" stories?

If they want to use flashbacks as a device, cool. But don't center them on only one character for the entire series. It'll wear thin.

TV Guide:
Exclusive: Arrow Casts Deadshot!

The CW's Arrow hasn't even premiered yet, and already his list of DC Universe enemies is growing. First, fans saw a peek of Deathstroke's mask in the pilot screened at this summer's Comic-Con in San Diego, followed soon after by the announcement during the show's panel that Kelly Hu would be playing drug-cartel badass China White in the second episode. And now, TV Guide Magazine can exclusively report that Canadian actor Michael Rowe (not that Mike Rowe) will be playing the previously reported role of Deadshot in episode 3, titled "The Lone Gunman."

"Deadshot doesn't speak much, so he has to have that physicality," says executive producer Marc Guggenheim (FlashForward) of the Suicide Squad member who may be best known for battling Batman in the comic-book world. "And Michael certainly has that. He has that look." As for whether Deadshot is a one-shot gig, Guggenheim's fellow EPs Greg Berlanti (Political Animals) and Andrew Kreisberg (Warehouse 13) both agree that Stephen Amell's Emerald Archer will most likely cross paths with newcomer Rowe's hitman beyond this first meeting. "I think that's very possible," hints Berlanti.

Arrow lets loose Wednesday, Oct. 9 on The CW. Are you planning to check it out? And what other supervillains would you like to see show up?

I kind of get the warpaint type style of smearing green paint across his eyes as a mask; harks back the island. But when it's not just increasing the shadow across his eyes under the hood, it look a bit daft and a domino might actually look halfway decent (But Connor style, not Robin)

They should use Gails characterization of the character. he doesnt have to be really imposing.
