Green Arrow: Year One for DCAU

Hey folks, I say this as a life long GA fan: Year One was an AWESOME read!! It was insanely cinematic and fast paced. I also own all the DCAU films of late and think that with each one (With the exception of Anime Batman) they've gotten better and better. With Green Lantern on its way I truly hope that the next project DCAU considers is GA Year One. I mean, they've been pretty vocal when they talk about never repeating themselves and trying something new each time right? I mean, let's look at the list:

SM: DD - The death of Superman. Never been done on film.

JL: The New Frontier - Finally letting the Holy Trinity (SM, BM, WW) take a backseat and let the "2nd Stringers" (GL, MM, Flash) take the spotlight.

BM: GK - Anime. Batman..........That's all I've got.

WW - An epic story about the battle of the Gods in Mans' world.

GL - From what I hear, a "Training Day" type story between GL and Sinestro.

I mean, doesn't it make sense that the next one should be about a hero stranded? I dunno, maybe it's just me. Tell me what you think, if you have any ideas who could play who, or if I just talk too damn much :) Peace!

I doubt a Green Arrow film will take place anytime soon.

The next ones after Green Lantern: First Flight will be Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, and two more Batman DTVs (probably based on the Long Halloween and the Dark Knight Returns).

Flash and Justice League: World's Collide are likely to happen, and interest has been expressed in Catwoman, Aquaman, Kingdom Come, and they still have a script for Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.

You're an ******* for making me think there was hope for a GREEN ARROW movie.

A complete *******.

:)

I also thought the thread title is for a Green Arrow origin movie.

I doubt that.

If GL does well. And I definatley think it will. I have a feeling it could break records for the holiday season.

I'm willing to bet that it's going to be Public Enemies next and then Flash very shortly after that.

I think they should adapt Green Arrow: Year One into a feature film.

I was actually browsing around Golden Apple Comics in LA a bit earlier today and the guy at the front (who knows I'm a GA fan) told me that the movie studios have been calling the store asking for copies of GA: Year One. Hmmmmmmmm..............Thoughts?

A combination of Year One with the gritty tone of Grell's work and the social storylines done by Adams and O'Neil could really make a Green Arrow movie or television series special. I said this in another thread, but Green Arrow would make an awesome television series on HBO or Showtime.

Yeah, Year one would be a good template for an animated movie. Live-action might need a stronger first act.

I picture superman/batman public enemys

followed by flash

followed by aquaman

followed by ga

followed by another JL movie.

followed by a movie starring me, because i'm a super hero just havne't told anyone yet.
