Green Lantern Cartoon

Wow... Never heard of this one! That's pretty remarkable. Too bad the tape is so old that his costume looks more gray than green. :D

This used to be on Boomerang, it's really cool.

The Green Lantern, Teen Titans, Atom, Hawkman, Flash, and JLA toons from the 60's
were released on DVD over a year ago.
I believe its called "DC SUPERHEROES".

^Correct.

I remember Batman's one. That's the version that had a Crossover with Scooby-Doo. :hehe:

Oh cool man. I'll have to pick that up!

Before the WB bought Natonal Periodical Publications (i.e. DC), the publisher went to Filmation to have a cartoon show made for characters like Superman and Aquaman (circa 1966-67). The Aquaman Hour of Adventure had characters like The Flash, Hawkman, The Atom, The Justice League of America, and Green Lantern as featurettes on the show along with episodes of Aquaman with Aualad, Tusky the walrus, and Mera. This show was what got me intrested in comic book and made me a Green Lantern fan when I was a kid (age 6 or 7) back then.

Yeah, this was great. This is just the opening sequence, though. Have you actually seen the show?

Check it out. It's great stuff.

Besides, were else are you gonna see an eskimo ride a superhero into space?
(You're curious now, aint ya?)

Let me break it down again. This absolutely everything we know so far. Take into account that none of this is officially confirmed by Warner Bros. Animation.

Green Lantern Corps

  • Bruce Timm's name was attached to it
  • Animated in CGI ala Star Wars Clone Wars
  • Set for Fourth Quarter 2011. If true, this matches how Batman: The Brave and The Bold debuted in a November, as well.
  • Insider saw five minutes of footage of Hal Jordan in space.
  • If true, more serious in tone than Batman: The Brave and The Bold and Michael Jelenic is also involved from an interview done months ago when he hinted at working on a new series.
Young Justice

  • Features Nightwing, Aqualad, Superboy/Connor Kent, Impulse, Arrowette and Miss Martian.
  • Stephanie Lemelin revealed she will voice Arrowette and some unspecified supporting characters. She wrote her final sentence as the show will be a Saturday morning cartoon.
