Green Lantern Cover Countdown

At the time of my post, it is slightly less than 226 days until the release of the Green Lantern movie (June 17, 2011) I thought it would be appropriate to do a cover countdown since I have seen it go over well in other threads (if you think it will jinx the movie, be my guest to have the thread closed).

Above is a the cover of Flash vol 2 #226. Although it is not a Green Lantern cover it did feature Green Lantern in the issue. Be my guest to post a cover if you think it is apropos.

No. GL volume 2 (which was actually titled Green Lantern Corps for the last 25 issues) ended at issue #224.

Once again Green Lantern was also featured in Flash Comics during the late 1970's, so issues 226 and 225 should count for yesterday and today.

Just to let everybody know, "Green Lantern Corps #223 was a significant issue. It explained why the Guardians would never kill Kourugians (it was because many of them slept with the Zamorians) and it also gave an explanation of how the Central Power Battery was created. Apparently 5 billion years ago, as one faction of the Maltusians created the Manhunters, Another faction fused their (blue) mental energies with that of the yellow impurity. As it goes with primary colors, the resultant was a green crystal at first, but over time the Guardians were able to form it into the shape of a giant lantern and then also forge power rings.
