Green Lantern Creator Martin Nodell Dead At 91

Although I'm not a very big fan of the character, this is still very sad news. RIP.

aw man, that sucks. didnt bill finger have a hand in creating green lantern?

Rest in peace.

Dumnezeu sa-l ierte.

I had his autograph in a scetchbook that got stolen. I met him at a convention, he was a really nice guy, very approachable. He will be missed.

He had a very good innings a long life. He created an amazingly awesome character which is still strong today I'm happy he lived as long as he did to see his character used in many ways in the modern era and to see how important he was.

RIP.

Just like major characters in recent comics, we will continue to see imporant deaths for pivotal creators in the short years to come :(

Bad news.

He was 91. Living that long and dying is not sad. Now dying in your 50s, THAT is some sad **** right there, follks.

A true talent and that left a lasting impression on the medium. R.I.P. Mr. Nodell.

It's always sad when someone dies, it's just not tragic at 91. I'm glad I got to meet him when he was still around.

i just met him in may, :( I bought some original artwork and he signed my Alex ross cover of JSA (the one someone else posted) His son was helping him alot. He also created the pilsbury douhboy. He say that I was holding the V for Vendetta mask that i had bought and aske dme f he could take a look at it, and i told him what it was from, but he said he never has time to watch TV. He then gave me 2 pins, one with the kyle rayner GL logo on it and one that had green lantern written on it in the old original font. he was a cool guy. :(

first him, then Peter Boyle :(

There's an upside; another is the fact that in his 91 years, he accomplished something memorable.
