Green Lantern movie Hal Jordan?

Yeah, I'm pretty psyched, too.

Now if Warner would just get off their nuts for Green Lantern.

I really want a Green Lantern movie, with Hal wearing the ring damnit.

If you're making a thread asking a question about an upcoming (or as of yet unmade) film, it's best to put a question mark in the title of the thread so no one will think you're posting some type of new, exciting news for the feature.

Also, proper spelling and grammar are orgasmic when used correctly.

So long as it's not John, I could care less who's wearing the ring. Hal, Kyle, Guy, even Kilowog.

I acutally like John a lot. He's one of my favorite GL's of all time, and his JLU counterpart made me one hell of a fan. There was an actor (whose name I forget :o) that wanted to make a Lantern franchise with Stewart being the ring holder. He expressed tone of kickass ideas. It wasn't too long ago. :D

I know who you're talking about, but let's take it to a new thread. No point spamming it up here, eh?

Well you could always merge this convo in the that Jack Black GL thread. :D

Merged posts.

And it took me two minutes to read what dude said in the first post.

Does N-E 1 have ideas 4 the first GL movie?

What I think you mean to say is "Does anyone have ideas for the first Green Lantern movie?" Seriously, how hard is it to actually spell out words. I guess "GL" is no big deal, but N-E 1? come on!

Do you guy think that if it was Kilowog, would the actor where a suit like The Thing. Or be CGI like Hulk?

A war between American and another nation reflecting the modern war on terrorism is happening in the world. Hal Jordan is a pilot overseas fighting in this war but hates his job and as his devotion to it led to his prior marriage falling apart.

He is a darker, more complex man....divorced from a wife back in Coast City who has custody over his 4 year old daughter who she keeps away from him. He keeps a picture of his daughter with him, remembering her and dreaming of coming back to Coast City as he embarks into the battle front.

Eventually he finds the remains of Abin Sur's crashed ship and the power is passed onto him. Another GL was sent to Earth to find Abin Sur and save his ring; he ends up educating Hal about the Corps and training him.

That GL has secret ambitions of his own as hes gained access to the dark Yellow element (weakness of GL's rings) and uses it to reawaken an army of Manhunter Robots that the guardians once built centuries ago.

Hes trying to create his own army to conquer Sector 8472 and the only chance Earth has is for the United States and the country its in a dispute with....to combine technological resources and unite to defeat this global threat with Green Lantern acting as a symbol of peace and hope for the future of man.

John Stewart (not a Green Lantern) also appears as Hal's army buddy that he confides in.

Carol Ferris as Hal's new young love interest in the film.

The mysterious GL would eventually become Sinestro, his appearance is different at first so it isnt obvious to the audience.

Kilowog would also appear.

2 B honest, that is a great idea Kane. I didn't know Hal had a kid and a daughter. What is the daughter's name, is it in the comic book, or made up?

And to Katsuro, I know it's lighthearted but try not to chap my ass b/c I shorten my words.

And to all, my apologies 4 not putting a question mark or something, and getting ur hopes up.

Peace.

Good man.

Its an original idea. Hal needs to be reinvented to be a more edgier, deeper character to fly with today's audiences.

With those ideas, u should b a screenwriter.

But, let's say Sinestro is the villian...does anyone have ideas on how this should b pulled off. Should it show him as a mentor first or what??

I'm mixed on that idea. I think they should avoid it since BB already did the mentor/villian twist thing and its too obvious with the look and name of Sinestro that hes evil.

They should throw Kilowog into the mentor/trainer role instead.
