So this game supposedly comes out Q3 this year, yet we don't even have a screenshot. I smell a stinker.

Oh well, I'll still buy it to support green lantern, play it, then trade it to goozex for a thousand points.

It'll be your normal movie tie in that doesn't really do anything interesting: aka Iron Man.

But will it be fun? Interesting is nice and all, but games need to be fun.

Well, this game was announced late last year and its due out around the 3rd Quarter of this year, it may not bring anything new to the table. Just a rushed production to pick up the gamer stragglers that watch the film

Again. But will it be fun?

Look, I get it, movie tie-ins often suck, but it's not because they don't bring anything new to the table or do anything interesting. It's because they're not fun.

Look at the original Sonic the Hedgehog game. It's not interesting and didn't bring anything really new to the gaming world. It was just a nicer looking, faster paced, side-scrolling platformer. But it was fun.

Just once I'd love to see someone get a Super Hero movie tie in game and treat it with respect like Rocksteady did for Batman.

I know, it wasn't a movie tie in... but still... I find it hard to believe that it's impossible to do. Just don't rush the developers... or get lazy developers.

Also... I'm kind of impressed with the hair in the 2nd pic.

Excuse me, Sonic had blast processing! :cmad:

Regardless of whether or not that was complete BS, do you really think that much about the process behind the game while playing it?

That's kinda hard to say Ferret, if anything, the game may offer a repetitive mission structure, possibly a few nods to the film and comic book lore. You might be able to salvage a little bit of fun out of it during the first playthrough, once after you beat it, it may just sit around and collect dust. If they release a demo for it, give that a whirl first before you decide to drop 60 bones on it. :cwink:

Most likely not because it'll be rushed to shelves to capitalize on the movie. It'll most likely still have a ton of glitches

It's not the developers it's the rush, when you have a hard date of week the movie comes out. Plus you aren't given all the materials you need because the movie is still in production it leads to a crappy game. They don't have time to polish or come up with a great new way to play the game, they just need to copy off other games that had success, just without the polish those games were able to put on the product.

Look at Fantastic Four, it should've been easy, use the X-Men Legends formula (which they did) only thing is they didn't have time to add in the extras that Legends brought to the table. So it looked and played like a generic ripoff.

True, alot of times they get small parts of the story board and they have to try and work around that. That's why alot of times, some events happen in the game that don't happen the same way they did in the film.

The screenshots look pretty cool.

Hopefully the game comes out decent, not like the effen Iron Man games.

yeah I'm aware it was posted but the pic looks cool as well.

though some might see this as a movie game and we all know how those turn out with a few exceptions. let's hope this is one of them.
