So, first ep came on tonight. Not bad. Actually made me like the Red Lanterns.

Haven't seen it on itunes yet. You think someone who wants to make money would have it out the moment the original air time was over.

I've always gotten the feeling that most of these networks don't give a s**t about Superhero cartoons.

Places like Itunes just about uploads it the next day after air. How does that mean they don't give a **** ?

After about the sixth episode, they will move it and barely tell anybody. Then they'll put it on hiatus for like 4 months, then bring it back in some countries. Then when they finally do bring it back, they, again, don't tell anybody when it's coming back on. Then they'll wonder why the ratings aren't so good.

You know, standard fare. I wasn't necessarily agreeing with Frankie about iTunes, (Cuz wtf do I care about iTunes?) just, you know, it's inevitable how this s**t will go down. :o

My point is that it would be good business to have it on as soon as the airtime is over. Now it's a race between them and the pirates. If the pirates win...

ARRRRRR!

Yay pirates!!! anyway the first episode was pretty good. Still rather it look like BTAS or JLU though.

I am not that big of a gl fan. But i decided to check the show out. Overall i thought it was a good show and curious to see what direction the show takes. It is interesting to start off with red lanterns as villain threat. Also the acting and story was good. Only thing i didnt really care for is the cg animation style they decided to make the show in.

it was a decent start. but like everybody is saying, the animation is ****ing stupid. I'd take 2D animation over this any day. especially if they put this in continuity with the old DCAU, which there's not really reason not to. A throwaway line explaining why Hal is Lantern instead of Kyle and we're in business.

They want the Star Wars crowd. They're young and they like the Red Lanterns. If that's the sacrifice we have to make to have a Timm GL cartoon, I don't think it's that big a price to pay.

I'm just worried the show will focus only on the Red Lanterns. And as far as villains go, they're pretty new to the GL mythos. I want to see others, too. Sonar, Polaris, Tattooed Man. Nero would be awesome, and there could be a huge ongoing plot with Qward.

They do. but every GL adaptation in the past few years has hinged completely on Geoff's Johns' stories and retcons. Parallax, Red Lanterns, Sinestro Corps. The pre-Johns GL gets no lovin'.

I really liked this first episode.I can't wait to see the next one.

that claymation DC Nation short in the middle of it was ****ing stupid.

I don't give a **** about 4 year olds in Hoboken. and neither should cartoon network, especially when the GL demo isn't 4 year olds in god-forsaken Hoboken.

Wow caught this show tonight, it's great. Lots of potential. They're smart going the clone wars route.

Like Transformers prime I have a feeling this show is going to slowly get it's footing then really start kicking ass mid to late season. I also like how it's doing everything right that the movie did wrong. Hal's great.

I just can't stand how Hal literally has a list of 4 constructs he can use. Thank goodness I got into comics while Rayner was around otherwise I'd seriously have no love for the GL concept.
