Green Lantern's Movie Costume

I seriously think the costume will be a leather zip up from the back but as for design I have no idea what direction they will go.

This is a design I did, based on some of the comments here and what I had in mind myself.
Basically, it should look like a uniform for an intergalactic police force, which the corps is.
I imagined they wouldn't have very colorful uniforms that's why most of it is in black... the one on the right has a dark green on the chest as well on the gloves and the boots, but I prefer the first one.

The only think I'm not sure about is the vizor... I know it looks very much like Kyle but it was really meant as on outfit for Hal Jordan.
I just wasn't sure if the GL Corps would were masks at all (realism... in the movie... you know?)

I think Earth Green Lanterns would wear masks. To hide their identities, if nothing else. I really like elements of that. Lose the piping, put the symbol on his chest and make it larger and raised. Lose the shoulder lanterns, they're redundant. I don't think he needs a belt. And I wonder what it would look like without the wristguards.

Blake I really like your design especially the 2nd one. I love the armor look. You might want to sketch out one with the symbol in the middle of the chest (more Hal - while this one is more Kyle) and with a classic mask rather than the visor. Keep the shoulder lanterns, they are a nice nod to kyle's pre Ion costume which I liked a lot.

I like the comic book green lantern costume....but i always think it's funny how the GREEN lantern's costume is MOSTLY black.

I am actually very okay with a change like that costume. The visor is a no-go though. Better off with a full mask. Maybe black but green around the edges or a very dark metallic green (like how Batman in Batman & Robin was a dark metallic blue).

Yes but it looks too baggy. He's a big guy and it still sags. He's a superhero. He needs something form-fitting. Not necessarily spandex but come on. Show off those Green Lantern muscles.

I think all those protective paddings are unnecessary. He's got the most powerful weapon in the universe on his finger. His energy aura is going to protect him from most harm, why would he need knee pads?

Exactly. That's one thing that bugs me about Rayner's newest costume. What's with all the "padding" and "straps"?

I actually liked Kyle's costume. But that was probably because he was the first Green Lantern I read about. Now I prefer a simple costume Like John Stewart's.

I like his different suits and regarding to the knee pads say if he was to loose his ring I think he would need as much defense as he can get.
