Nothing much new to report, but some interesting observations on the Hal Jordan character, I think.

I am just wondering how it turned out that Hex turned out to come out b4 Jonah Hex. Because he said sometimes the stars just align with some projects

But havent some directors left the DC properties because of "creative differences"

Hex is coming first because they got Josh ****ing Brolin locked in for the lead.

It isn't green-lit yet? That's concerning although he did lead us to believe that it will eventually happen. I also like the comment that it's "firkin Star Wars".

I think right now...Campbell is putting his touches on to the movie (script, casting) before the greenlight. You can see this as a good thing I suppose: WB and Campbell want the best out of this movie and they're waiting till they're happy with everything before they proceed.

But man, I would go insane if the movie falls apart at the last second though..

No, it's not it's not Campbell's call right now. If the project doesn't have the go yet, then the ball is in the man with the green-light powers (and I don't mean Green Lantern or the Guardians) hands right now.

I would think its practically green lite since they have gone through series of scripts they have liked, they guy producers/directors on board and have been in casting stage for months. But like others have said it could easily fall apart and no movie. If that was to happen that would be a big mistake wb could do.

You can start by telling a frend on Facebook about this promotion. All you Star Wars and Star Trek fans try and tell a fellow Trekie/Treker or Wokkie about it somewhere else. We can start our own viral movement on the Internet and if enough people get wind of this and participate, then TPTB will know at least we are interested. The next step would be to buy the animated DTV coming out July 27th. Our goal for that would be to top the Superman/Doomday sales.

I've said it somewhere else, Green Lantern was delayed because Campbell is still working on the post of the movie with Mel Gibson. And I prefer if they take their time and make a better movie than a rushed bad one.
We'll know something new at the ComiCon.

hopefully their is actually live action gl film news at the con, and not just about the comic character/animated film that has a screening at the con. I agree i rather they take the time they need to get all the details just right instead of rushing out to get it done. They have plently of time to make a good film. We know prep work have been on going since campbell was signed on, their has been what like 5-6 rewrites on the script, and they have been in casting stage for months looking at all actors from ones we know of to guys we probably dont know of, and then the rumor guys like cooper, timberlake, etc.......
