"Growing Pains" Season 2: Episode 19 Discussion Thread

Since Season 2 is airing in Bulgaria, I was able to catch this episode this morning. As adviced by Joker, I decided to open a new thread for it, instead of derailing the one for episode 17. I posted spoilers about the episode there, and I re-post them here, if someone is interested. Since I watched it online, I was able to make 18 screenshots of it, but I'm a bit reluctant to post them without a mod's permission.

Venom is somehow out to ruin Spidey. It wasn't explained how Eddie and the alien are together again, cause it's either happened in episode 18, or will be explained in the future episodes. Venom frames Spidey by causing mayhem and people are thinking that he's behind that, dressing in black again.
Meanwhile the son of J.J. becomes huge and very powerful, cause he was infected somehow by the contact with the alien. J.J. encourages him to become a superhero. At first he's friendly towards Spidey, but he starts to wonder if he's really causing all the mayhem, and then Venom attacks him and he decides that Spidey is behind that. He goes after him, quickly becoming kinda insane, because the alien cells are messing with his mind. Spidey defeats him relatively easy, though, cause he's very vulnerable to electricity (it kills the alien cells inside him). He remains insane however, craving his power back and is locked up in Ravencroft.
J.J. accuses Spidey for everything and just then Venom storms the Bugle and reveals to everybody that Peter is Spider-Man.
Oh, and Harry Osborn is apparently back and he's hitting on Gwen.

Out of 10... I'd say between 7.5 and 8.5

Does john wear a costume or anything? What are his powers? really suprised about John and his bitter end. Really suprising.

I'm not a fan of Venom really and this arc isn't very exiting summary wise. Though this episode I was looking foward to. No man wolf then! Wierd if there were three monster men.

Ummm... Yeah, when he's posing as Spidey. He looks like the black-suited Spider-Man then, but more muscular and without the fangs and the mouth and the long tongue. Otherwise, when he's at his normal condition, he looks the same as he did before, I'd say.

Well, technically, it was not Spidey's fault that the alien cells messed up his mind. The poor guy was just a time bomb all along. Though J.J. is never gonna admit it, of course, when he can blame Spidey.

Dunno, didn't count the minutes, but I'd say that it was about the same, not much more or much less. Venom was really constant in Identity Crisis though.

no only Venom. i'm also wondering when Chameleon is going to appear.

I bet he'll be in the Green Goblin arc. I reckon he helped Norman frame Harry; it would be an awesome homage to the comic storyline in which the Harry Goblin used the Chameleon as his pawn in a bid to break Peter's spirit.
