Well you guys did it. You killed another thread. This time in 12 hours. Way to go, murderers. RIP.
Can't believe Shazam called John C. Reilly an ''old fat dude''.
New thread! Wooo!
That's what happens when guys who barely take their heads outta comic books, videogames and the web start talking about movies and, like, real people. Actors. This kinda stuff.
John C. Reilly is awesome in any role.
Already on to part 11... My god.
Do they form on the prison or were they already a team?
Most likely in prison.
a new thread? the last one didn't last long.
You know, I don't think this is going to be as funny as people think. Gunn even said today that there will be comedy, but it's not going to overshadow the heart, and emotion. Which is cool. Pratt is so perfect for Quill
Up to 3.040.000 views already, 42.911 likes, only 796 dislikes. This is pretty insane, considering that this is the trailer on Jimmy Kimmel's channel.
Shazam got put on my ignore list a long time ago. That guy is just ridiculous.
They were already a team at the time they're captured in the trailer, hence the line "They call themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy."
Now, if you mean they formed in prison prior to what we saw I could buy that, but at the moment they're arrested in the trailer they've clearly already been working together.
It's actually a smooth move, considering Kimmel's got 3 million YT subscribers due to his popular bits, while Marvel Entertainment only has around 900,000. I think it'll be a bit more accessible online with "Recommended" videos and whatnot.
That's why i'm a bit confused. They could either show flashbacks or none at all, to be honest, it would be interesting to get their team dynamic without needing a visual origin, letting the film go to what's important from the start
Yes, with the nature of the material there was a possibility of a much more divided reception.
I'd be cool with that. Do an Oceans 11 kind of thing. The characters already all know each other and we get bits and pieces about their past from their dialogue. We don't necessarily need full flashbacks detailing how and when they met.
I'm pretty sure Drax's murders are all criminals related to Ronan/Thanos, so it's all good there. The only real criminal on the team will probably be Gamora.
As for the Nova Corps, everything we've seen so far are just the stooges; when we see Richard Rider (or...Sam....I guess) he'll be in his full badass armor.
Hell, look at these doofuses:
I say what we got in the movie is a bit more respectable.
This is what the A-tier Novas will look like either in GOTG2 or a Nova movie...hopefully both:
Did anyone catch rocket's voice in the cbm website?
its freakin on point!
I wonder if Drax finds out about Thanos?
Do we think the final battle will involve Thanos? Cause of the supposed rumors about Pace turning good at the end?
I dunno who else read it, but in Tarantino's leaked "Hateful Eight" script, we have a lot of characters meeting for the first time; but are aware of one another's reputations, so the backstory is spilled more naturally than "Who are you and what's your life story?" I think that's a good way to go, especially for characters who would be as notably reprehensible as this - especially Drax and Gamora.
