Having worked frequently with and become good friends of both Joss Whedon and James Gunn, Nathan Fillion has been longtime rumored, or favored, for a role in Marvel Studios' ever-growing cinematic universe. While the actor has previously declared being tied up with ABC's Castle series and “not being famous enough” as reasons why he has yet to play a Marvel character, Fillion attended the Wizard World Comic-Con over the weekend, where he was asked by a fan if he was wanting a part in this summer's Guardians of the Galaxy. “Wanting to get a part… or maybe did,” Nathan Fillion responded. He then paused before adding, “I’m just saying maybe. Maybe you’ll be surprised. Maybe. Check the credits.” Guardians of the Galaxy recently wrapped reshoots, for which director James Gunn has hinted involving: “Anything we want, but didnt get,...something to make the movie better,...cool cameo idea.”

It's gotta be along the lines of Vin as the voice of Groot. No way they would waste Nathan on some throw away character. I could see Richard Ryder or Warlock though, the only problem being his schedule with Castle but then again Pratt has Parks and Rec although he isn't the lead

If it IS Warlock, it's probably in a mid/post-credit scene or at the end of the film proper. I'm thinking Warlock's probably indisposed in the MCU right at the moment, what with that cocoon the Collector has.

I don't think he's Adam Warlock. Warlock is supposed to be a paragon of physical perfection which, much as I love him, ain't Nathan Fillion these days.

I think having him be the voice of Cosmo is the best bet.

I was at the Panel here in STL, you can hear me scream THATS AMAZING right as the crowd oos, and it was pretty huge to just have him drop that on us. Speculation started up like right then in there it was like being in a real-life in person internet forum and all your ideas were thrown up but the most popular was that he would just be in a bar as Malcom Reynolds, haha, which would be impossible but most fun.

I'd like him as Ryder or Warlock.
