Guilty Pleasures or: The Trashy Movies You Love to Death

Everybody has a handful of movies that hold a special place in their heart. These may not be the most well made or the most watched or the most loved movies ever made; in many ways that's what makes them so special.

These are the movies for which you recite every line of dialogue, no matter how horribly written. No matter their origins, these are the movies that each person who loves them can watch an infinite number of times and they never get old.

One of mine:

ARMY OF DARKNESS

Bear witness to the not-so-subtle GENIUS of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell.
The line that enamored me to this movie forever:

"Y'know, your shoelace is untied."

I don't consider Army of Darkness a guilty pleasure- everyone loves (or should love) Army of Darkness.
I liked "Gone Fishing" when I saw it. Now that's a bad movie which understand the hate completely. So so dumb. I'm truly somewhat ashamed to like it, but it just reminded me so much of the dumb little comdies I wrote when I was a kid, that I liked it. I don't LOVE it. But truly, a guilty pleasure.

I wouldn't say it's trashy.
I would say it's bad though, and hasn't aged well at all, but I still seriously love the movie.

Nope, I enjoy it as well. Me and my cousin watched it about ten times over summer a few years ago. It's really cheesy but fun though.

The Underworld movies. I watch them, and cannot for the life of me figure out why I like them. I think when you take an absurd concept like vampires fighting a war with werewolves, this is about as good a movie as you can get out of it. Plus it has Bill Nighy, and uses lots of practical effects over CGI.
