Iron Man 2 Gwyneth is back!

Good to hear, I thought she was well done in the first film.

I'm glad Gwyneth is back for IM2. Aside from RDJ, she really shined as Pepper and her playful exchanges with Downey Jr. had a good spark that make those scenes very interesting, far more than Tobey/Kristen and Christian/Maggie. I was afraid that Marvel will go too far with their cost-cutting moves (like they did with Howard and Jackson), and only RDJ will return for the sequel.

We still don't know if SLJ is out.

If Marvel got rid of Gwyn I would have given up on all future Marvel projects IM2 included. At least this one went by without a hitch.

Lol, you and your melodramatic statements. While I think it would've hurt the movie if she left, Paltrow leaving would hardly kill the franchise. RDJ possibly. He's the main requirement.

Well... I would have left the franchise regardless in all honesty and become a Marvel troll on these boards if I even bothered posting. There are just some things you can't stand... that would have been one of them. It didn't happen but still... as hard as I am on the other situations... you could live with a Don Cheadle or Mickey Rourkless IM2. A new Potts would have been the last straw for me. And if Norton leaves the Hulk franchise I could accept that as well because I never expected him to be back. I will still be hard on Marvel if they lowball him for future sequels/Avengers... although I don't think he will be worth the money if he demands a significant pay raise. Ofcourse you will defend Marvel to every extent as long as RDJ is in the movie. I mean he's good... but that good?

Well, I would argue that Tony Stark was the best part of the movie and not Iron Man.

I like to think of it as a healthy combination of the Stark and Iron Man, myself.

I had no doubt that Gwyneth would be back as Pepper

if downey left...ugh..idk what i'd do..

now get scarlett on board and I may be forgiving regarding rourkes and jacksons drop outs

Getting ScarJo on board is actually the very worst thing they could do

And neither Rourke or SLJ has dropped out

Right Chewy. People just keep repeating eroneous coments over and over and over...

ScarJo is a decent actress, but she is 100% wrong for the BW role.

BW has a lean, toned, athletic body-type. ScarJo just has big ****.

what is this discrimination of big titted women all about?

There's no discrimination against it. She just isn't right for BW.

Gwyneth Paltrow Filming A ‘Risque Scene’ As Dominatrix In ‘Iron Man 2’?

Published by Josh Wigler on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11:25 am.

Sex and seduction are all part of the game for espionage agent Natasha Romanoff — played by Scarlett Johansson in “Iron Man 2” — but those words don’t fall quite as comfortably on the lips of Tony Stark’s assistant, Pepper Potts.

Still, that’s not stopping Gwyneth Paltrow’s character from matching the sultry persona of Johansson’s Black Widow. According to a rumor from The Daily Mail, Paltrow has been getting in shape for a “risque scene” alongside leading man Robert Downey Jr..

“Iron Man imagines Pepper in a dominatrix outfit,” a source tells the news outlet. “Gwyneth had to be filmed in a very revealing black leather corset complete with a bullwhip.”

If the rumor ultimately pans out and such a scene exists in the Jon Favreau-directed sequel, then supporters of a Stark-Potts consummation may have to wait for “Iron Man 3” for the real thing — but an on-screen fantasy sequence should whet the appetite significantly.

On paper, the scene seems a tad out of place. “Iron Man” received acclaim for its realistic approach and a fantasy sequence doesn’t exactly fit that same thematic bill. But with reports of Happy Hogan’s stunt-heavy scene — which is likely to involve his protectorate Tony Stark in some way — perhaps our hero befalls some sort of incident where he hallucinates the domineering Pepper.

Another possibility is that the scene takes place during an encounter with Tony and Black Widow. It was previously confirmed that Stark would be involved in a love triangle between Widow and Potts — maybe he envisions the more conservative Pepper while having an actual bed-sheet battle with the aggressive Natasha?

One thing that’s interesting about the rumored fantasy is the focus on bullwhips. Mickey Rourke is reportedly portraying a mixture of Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo, the former of which utilizes — you guessed it — whips as his weapons of choice. Would Paltrow’s scene serve as foreshadowing of Rourke’s villainous persona, or has Stark already encountered the character at this point in the film?
