And yes you can blame the hackers for stealing and then releasing the information. This didn't just fall into their laps. They did this on purpose.

NBC exposed child predators and one or two killed themselves. Nobody cares or complains about it or try's to pretend the child predators were decent people who made a mistake.

Adulter gets exposed and killed themselves. People proceed to justify cheating and pretend these people were decent just because they killed themselves after being exposed by hackers. Never mind the damaged they caused to their spouse.

You are leaving out important facts about "To Catch a Predator". One, after the first episode or two, they worked with local police departments. What the hackers did here was illegal and was not supported by the police. Secondly, they cancelled the show quietly after a suicide.

One does not need to be a decent person for this to be sad situation. The loss of life is almost always sad. We aren't talking about SS officers here. We aren't talking about those religious nuts who murder doctors for doing their job. We are talking about people who had consenting sex with other adults. And honestly, I don't think anyone is going to lose sleep over not having your respect.

For the record, I have not cheated on anyone ever. Just never came up. And yes, I do consider it a betrayal, it too is an ugly side of people... But there are LEVELS people. There is context, there is shading, there is nuance, and there is just an UGLY, again an ugly callousness in the judgment on display in such childish notions of morality.
