So my favourite Power Ranger is Adam, the second black Ranger, green Zeo and Turbo ranger. Not sure why, but I think he rocks.
I've only seen a bit of RPM but I'm seeing a dystopia, not a Mad Max type though.
It's called The Last Ranger. The story would explore him being the last (known) surviving Ranger hunting down any information he can about his past teammates, some of whom he finds but most of whom are dead.
I always preferred the Clockwork Empire from Zeo over Rita, and I always like the idea of villains and heroes teaming up to defeat a bigger evil. Perhaps the Clockwork Empire destroyed Earth, killed Zordon, and somewhere along the line Adam runs into a depowered and pathetic Rita who teams up with him?
They could discover pieces of Alpha, too, as he goes on his journey.
The point of the story would actually be the juxtaposition of teamwork and isolation. Is he still a Ranger if he's the only one? Does there need to be Zordon-like figure? Is he the Green Turbo, Zeo or Black Ranger when he morphs? Ideas about identity could be explored. Ruminating on the differences between good vs evil and uniting Rita with Adam would be both interesting and provide conflict.
Would love to hear what people think, and if there's any suggestions for set pieces or plot lines.
