Our source tells us Weinstein has offered them an opportunity to helm Halloween 2, the inevitable follow-up to Rob Zombie's Halloweenhttp://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/films.php?id=447. And even though Bustillo and Maury recently said they were developing another new French thriller, Snow (details), these Halloween 2 rumblings corroborate whispers we've been hearing that the pair were close to committing to a U.S. picture.

Zombie has expressed publicly his disinterest in helming another Halloween. The writer-director's reworking of Carpenter's slasher milestone made $78 million worldwide.

Rob Zombies Holloween was one of the worse movies of last year. Words can't express just how much I hated that movie. It was awful, just awful.

I know it made money for the studio but I'm pretty sure that very few actually liked it so why? I'll give it this much, it can't be much worse than the first one.
