well... there ya go...
hope you enjoy

We will start with the Original 1978 Horror classic, John Carpenters' "Halloween"

The one with Josh Hartnett as Jaimie Lee Curtis son was the best, hilarious stuff, stabbed a gazillion times, falling 40 feet and having a truck ram him into a tree and mask boy was still alive:D

I watched Halloween 1 again last night. It still rules. Simple yet brilliant. It's amazing how much Carpenter did with such a meager budget and a bunch of newbie actors/actresses [apart from the great Donald Pleasance].

Best movie music score ever too. Still gives me chills

I'll never forget how scared I was when I first saw that bit where Laurie's walking slowly upstairs to where he's hiding, and all the dead bodies are in the bedroom. I kept expecting him to leap out at her at any moment.

It really is so great.

My favorite part is at the end, when Laurie thinks Michael is dead upstairs. She slowly begins to head towards the stairs to go down, while in the background, The Shape materializes in the shadows and Laurie has no idead.

That was just so great and suspenseful! None of the other sequels have even come close to the moments in H1.

I MUST get this out of my chest:

**** YOU ROB ZOMBIE! I ****ING HATE YOU, YOU *******! HOW DARE YOU REMAKE "HALLOWEEN", YOU ****ING TURD! THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT! IT'S ALREADY PERFECT AS IT IS! JUST LEAVE IT ALONE, YOU ****ING ******! YOU ARE PISSING ALL OVER JOHN CARPENTER, YOU GORE-FILLED OVERRATED ****-EATING BASTARD!

There, I feel better.

I thought Halloween 4 had some very suspenseful moments (involving most of the scenes at the Meeker house) and that's the only Halloween sequel that I think really captures the essence of the original...even more than H2.

It's funny but I have seen H4 so many times and just recently when I was watching it again I noticed Michael was standing right behind Meeker and Logan in the background right after Logan arrives at the house. I always wondered how Michael got in the house but he must have followed Logan right inside and no one heard him come in.

Halloween 1 remains the best one out of the entire saga so far.

Favorite part: After Laurie stabs him in the eye, then stabs him in the chest with his own knife, you'd think that after all of that punishment he'd be finished. Especially after getting stabbed in the eye with a hanger too.

She tells Tommy and Lindsey to go find some help. You're thinking everything is okay, she's tired, and he's dead right behind her. All of a sudden he slowly rises up like a corpse or some inhuman being, and my heart immediately sunk after seeing that.

Still, to this very day, that part remains one of the creepiest most suspenseful scenes in the history of horror cinema. Just the way Michael rose up scared the hell out of me.

Oh yeah, hearing Michael's breathing at the end along with the music is creepy too.

I love the entire franchise, but my favorites include;

Halloween
Halloween II
Hallowen 4
H20

These 4 are the films that stand out the most for me, but I also like parts 5,6 and Resurrection (Yeah, yeah). As for part 3, it's not that bad of a film, just take away Halloween and leave it Season of the Witch.

I love the atmosphere of the first film, and the whole eerie story behind it. I love the music score, and the characters, and I think the best mask is the one used in the first film. And Donald Pleasance added so much class to the films as well, he is one of my favorite actors. All the actors did an amazing job as well.

And onto Michael Myers, the most creepiest character I have ever seen. I remember seeing Halloween at a younger age, everything has stayed with me to this day. The blank, emotionless face with the blackest eyes. A psychopath who can't/refuses to die no matter what is done to him, makes for an incredible villain.

Yes, I am pleased that Halloween is still going on to this day, i'm glad that the franchise has such a strong fanbase and I can't wait to see a new Halloween movie.

Yep. That's the one. It's amazing how horror movies could scare the **** out of you then without the fake scares and loud sound effects.

I'm going to make that into my wallpaper too.

Thanks.

H1 = The best. Of course. No need for explanation. Best mask, as well.

H2 = Probably the second best. Closest recreation of the atmosphere of H1 and the only other sequel with both Laurie and Loomis.

H3 = Decent halloween film. Just not a Halloween film.

H4 = Fairly strong entry. Good way to bring Michael back. Mask was horrible, though.

H5 = Not so good. Pretty bad, actually. Marks the downfall of the series. Mask is actually worse than H4's. Beginning of the Thorn storyline.

H6 = Definitely the creepiest of the sequels, and one of the coolest masks. George P. Wilbur from H4 returns as Michael and is pretty kickass. This is the full on Thorn story, and it's alright. The film is not so strong, though I've seen the Producer's Cut, and it's a lot better (especially the ending).

H20 = Probably the strongest of the sequels, because it just has the best/strongest story and character development, and some cool homages to the original. Plus, it reunites Laurie and Michael for the long-awaited showdown. Chris Durand as Michael was not so great. He was small and walked to fast, and the mask was clownish.

HR = Trash. The only resemblance of a story is shown in the beginning, when we find out Michael didn't die in H20. Even though he was technically decapitated, it turns out it wasn't really him, once again showing the cleverness of Michael (and the writers). After his final showdown with Laurie, you should stop watching. Because there's no real story and it's basically Michael killing peeps cause they were chillin' in his house. LAMEEEEE. Brad Loree was a decent Michael, though.

Here's to hoping the new one's great.
