This is, by far, the absolute most incredible gadget I have ever seen...
Check this out: 8 years ago, this guy nicknamed "Ben Heck" converted his Atari system to a custom-built handheld unit. Since then, he's "shrunk" the following consoles to miniature form: Nintendo 8-Bit, Super NES, N64, and even the original PlayStation! He's also converted both the Nintendo Wii and the XBox 360 into laptop forms; how cool is that?!
A short while ago, Benjamin J. Heckendorn (full name) published a book on the subject, appropriately titled Hacking Video Game Consoles. In it, he details all the above projects (with the exception of the laptops), and how to build your own. Since I'm a diehard classic gamer in need of a new creative hobby, I figured this would work as much as any. I haven't started yet, but it's something I look forward to.
With all this in mind, allow me to show a video I found from Brian "joedog86" Henderson on YouTube. Following in Mr. Heck's tech-skilled footsteps, Mr. Henderson's done his fair share of console "shrinkage". What do you guys think?
