Hannah Montana vs. Wolverine!

Do any of you know how popular this is in comparison with something like High School Musical for example?

it's dirt playing, this is a big blow...

unless they specifically sell wolverine to a older teen/young adult market. Perhaps that has always been the x-men demographic but i don't know how much they are relying on the toys to sell so...

X-men (well X2 at least) Was geared more toward the upper Jr.High to Young College age kids, so hopefully Hannah won't take too big a bite out of it.

I think Hannah's competition would hurt a movie like Spider-man more then Wolverine.

Probably just as big...even more so because of that concert tour that no one could get tickets to. But it's got a very specific audience, and definitely not Wolverine's audience, so I think Wolverine has the edge. Maybe.

Can you imagine the headlines if Hannah wins? We can't let that happen.

Yeah, I can't see many adults going to see that film. Kids could go and see both on the same day if they wanted to.

Never underestimate Diz-Nee. They're still the power that be in this day and age. Little girls love what they love, and they will drag their guardians to it as well, which means more tickets sold. Daddy will tell his son to man up if he can't go see a movie, but his little girl....he'll take her, no question.

Catman already knows that if there was a movie opening that featured Tisdale in a bikini, I'd be torn like a mother****er. :csad:

More likely to see Hannah Montana

yeah well, i dont think wolvie has much to worry about, unless marvel is aiming the movie at 6-12 yr old girl who like glittery eyeshodow and listen to jonnas brothers.
by then though i think the "i love hannah montana" phase will fizzle out. alot of parents are starting to pick fights with her.
anyway my bet: wolvie takes number one in the box office...hopefully

True - the demographics are different, but Hannah Montana could steal the #1 spot in the USA, and I don't want to see that happen! Her tween audience is huge...possibly bigger than High School Musical's.

Hopefully Wolverine can show everyone who's boss

This is so sig-worthy, Im advocating a movement.

:funny:

i've never seen the show, i have no idea who she is, what it's about, but just the fact that i even recognize the name goes to show you how popular she is. my wal mart and just about every other store has posters of her all over the place. and ticket drawings and concerts and stuff. i'm just saying, wolvie will have a hard time, there's just so many of us.

I think you may be underestimating Hannah Montana's popularity. It might very well make more than Wolverine, but I don't think that it'll affect it.

Wolverine isn't aimed for the same folks the Hannah Montana film will be, of course. And, most likely, any kids that want to see Wolverine probably couldn't care less about Billy Ray Cyrus' spawn.

lol, your probably right :woot:

Wolverine is gonna be PG-13 right? Cause I would hate for it be rated R and see the under 18 crowd buying tickets for Hannah Montana and sneaking into Wolverine. :csad: :csad: :csad:

So...they will split the box office. Like I said...Wolverine will be #1 but it won't make as much money as it would have.

Her grill is tore up. I don't care if she did get them fixed.

I have faith that Wolverine will win the weekend.

They need a stellar trailer and marketing plan, however.

Uhm this is stupid. Hannah Montana has an ENTIRELY opposite audience. They won't be comparing, they're not in the same category. There is no challenge, no versus, you're comparing Poor Bear with a killer? Totally different crowds. The only slap Disney has placed on FOX is the fact that they even compared a Hannah Montana movie to Wolverine?

So we weed out the little kids we don't want in the theaters anyway, how is that a loss? Actually thank Disney for taking the kiddies away from bugging us in the theater.

The only fans of Wolverine we would lose on those days are parents, or people who were dragged with their little sibling from the premiere to see Hannah Montana.

Big ****in' whoop-ti-doo.

And you. :o :p

don't underestimate hannah montana...she is much popular than lizzy was. and this is the fourth x-men movie. happy feet beat casino royale.

Probably because there are more kiddies than adults, and kiddies don't go by themselves. They have to be taken by an adult, resulting in more ticket sells, which is why something like Happy Feet beats Casino Royale.

I know...i have a feeling the same will happen here...mothers and daughters.

Or it could just be a total bust.

I'll be there opening night for wolvie.

It shouldn't matter.

Kids movies and action/adventure movies shouldn't be compared.
