Tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving (oxymoron?....you'd better believe it).

Ok, could one of our Canuck posters tell me why tomorrow is the day? Seriously, I don't feel like googling it:o

I honestly have no idea why we have it earlier.

And no, Canadian Thanksgiving is not an oxymoron. We thank the God Moloch for our spoils twice a day:cmad:

LOL!....do you have turkey? Or, moose?

Um... turkey. Moose is disgusting:huh:

Never had moose. I've had goose jerky, that was pretty good.

Our Thanksgiving is on the 2nd Monday of October (I think) every year, probably so that there's only 1 statutory holiday in November (Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day) instead of 2.

Maybe, I dunno. Little Richard says it best.

kidding! I didn't know there was a Canadian Thanksgiving.

They're thankful for sparkling clean streets and the influx of Americans that pump their economy full of Benjamins as opposed to Robert Bordens.

Heh Heh I'm gonna wait till tuesday to get my discounted turkey cuz I'm cheap like dat :O

:(

I had thanksgiving dinner or lunch or something today. I ate some mashed potatoes. A bunch of these weird bread crouiscent things or whatever. And. Uh. I think that was it. I couldn't reach the turkey and was too lazy to ask.

Stomic hurts...to much maple glazed moose.....

Yeah, I had mine today, kind of. Since I was locked outside in the freezing weather all last night, when I finally was able to sleep it was early morning, so when I did, I slept all day. So I just had a bit of turkey and mashed potatoes right now.

Thanksgiving in October? You wacky Canadians.

Hey, at least when we get to eat X-Mas turkey dinner, we're not sick of it because we just ate one 4 weeks prior like you nutty americaners. :oldrazz: :oldrazz: :oldrazz:

We have a good 10 week gap between turkey dinners and it works out fine. :word:

And the reason we celebrate Thanksgiving in October is because of old traditions of being thankful for a bountyful summer/fall garden harvest.

And yes, I've had moose meat. It's very musky and gamey. Moreso than deer meet.

:yay:

you americans celebrate the puritans having some eats with the indians.. you call us crazy..

Happy thanksgiving day to all. I hope you all are having a safe and fun long weekend :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians. Hope you have a wonderful day.

i think it has to do with our harvest happening earlier due to us being north of 49 degrees and whatnot.
