David Krumholtz, Neil Patrick Harris, Rob Corddry, Christopher Meloni, Ed Helms, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Paula Garces, Jack Conley, Roger Bart, Danneel Harris and Eric Winter will join John Cho and Kal Penn in Harold & Kumar 2 for Mandate Pictures and New Line Cinema, says The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the trade, the sequel is set in motion on the same morning that Harold and Kumar finally satisfy their munchies at White Castle and the object of Harold's affection, Maria (Garces), sets off for Amsterdam. The pair decide to pursue her so Harold can proclaim his love. But when an overzealous passenger mistakes Kumar for a terrorist, the plane is diverted and the boys are off on a new escapade of mistaken identity.

From Guantanamo Bay through the Deep South, Harold and Kumar encounter myriad wackos, jerks and ****es as they are pursued by the Department of Homeland Security all the way into Bush Country.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who wrote the original Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, will direct the follow-up from their original script.

Shooting began last week in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mandate Pictures is producing Harold & Kumar 2, with New Line distributing worldwide.

Greg Shapiro and Nathan Kahane are producing, while Carsten Lorenz and Joe Drake are executive producing. Mandate's Kelli Konop and Nicole Brown will serve as co-producers.

I guess we'll have a return of Neil Patrick Harris, and Christopher Meloni coming back means Freakshow is back.

:D

I didn't see a thread on this, so I will start this one. If there is one, mods, please merge.

This is the best movie news of the last decade.

I'm serious.

NPH returning.
Sweeet

Now everybody join me in this song :

"LAPDAAAAANNCEEE" :woot:

Edit :

Hold on. Wait a minute. Didn't NPH recently come out of the closet ? It's hard to take him seriously as a sex crazed heterosexual since he's well gay.
Mebbe they'll poke fun on this and make him a sex crazed gay guy.
Sounds even funnier to me :D

Cool looks like we'll get to see Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam.

Neil Patrick Harris was great in White castle.

NPH was the best thing about the first one.

probably one of the best cameos i can think of off the top of my head.

well, that, and lance armstrong, and the norris in dodgeball. those were pretty great, too.

They won't
At least if we are to believe the LatinoReview script review .

the title will probably be "Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam" and they probably wont get there till the very end, just like in the first one...

The first movie was terrible and kinda bombed. I don't know how they got a sequel.

Still not that impressive or worthy of a theatrical sequel.

Its being made because it has a cult following, like most "stoner" movies. I did however love the first :).

The first one was stupid funny.
I really liked it, though. I judge comedies based on how much I laugh, baed on my sense of humor. For example, everybody like National Lampoon's Vacation, but I don't because I don't think that it's all that funny.

I really liked the first movie, and Paula Garces, is seriously hot. I'll definitely be checking it out. I bought the first film on DVD, and seriously laughed during it.

the sequel looks hilarious. Can't wait for this one. I loved the first movie!
