In the third film, Professor Lupin tells Harry that his mom "was a singularly gifted witch", while in the fouth, Voldemort calls her a "filthy muggle mother"

Oh my God, the integrity of the movies is shattered!

Lily Potter's parents were both muggles.

Lily's parents were both muggles, but she was still a witch.

Maybe Voldy doesn't like the term "mudblood" because he knows he's one too.

Voldemort hates muggles mudblood magicians and witches that's the only reason why he said that. for him, saying muggle to someone is more insulting than mudblood.

No, muggles are what they call the normal people that aren't wizards or witches without any powers.

Then Voldemort should've said "muggle-born" or "muddblood." But he specifically said Muggle.

She was a witch born from muggles...so technically she is both. Voldermort was talking down about her...and you should know that in the books and movies...being called a muggle is an insult, especially to those wizards or witches with them in their family. Muggles are looked down upon.

Bah, mudblood, muggle, flattersniggle, wifflesnatcher... It all just sounds like silly phonetic nonsense to me. :p

Yes, Muggles are non magical folk.

Mudbloods are witches or wizards who are muggle born. Both parents are wizards.

Believe me, I know what I am talking about.

She's not a muggle, she's a witch and a mudblood, but not a muggle. Also, I'm not really sure that muggle is supposed to be an insult, just a term for non-magical people, Hermonie usses the term and both her parents are muggles, either Dean or Seamus mentions that one of his parents is a muggle in the first book, why would he use a derogitory term to describe one of his parents. Mudbloods and Squids are insults, not muggle.

Anybody in the mood for flapjacks?

Also Lupin has a duty as a teacher/professo/mentor to give words of encouragement to Harry, like counseling...Harry finds parental value in the company of most adults at Hogwarts and seeks answers. This is his character...its also a flaw.

Did you not read my post? What is a mudblood? Why do you think they call it a mudblood? The witch born from non-magical parents have their non-magical blood running through their veins...hence the name MUDblood. It is an unpure wizard. She was a witch but still lived the muggle life because her family were all muggles...like Hermione. Muggles are looked down upon because they are seen as inferior by a lot of wizards and witches. Mr. Weasley loves muggles and gets quiet a riff for his passion for their ways and is even often asked why he even messed with those muggles. All of these names are much like and mirror the different races and cultures in our society. There are good people that see all the different races as equals to be treated fairly yet there are some people that link their lineage is pure and that they are above everyone else and cause those names to become derogatroy in term and meaning. Much like poor Lupin being called a half-breed, beast, etc...Mudbloods, squids, half-breeds, etc...can be seen as bad yet their is really nothing wrong with them since they did not choose their heritage. It's also quiet interesting that an animangus must register...all of these really mirror our world's dark history.
