The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two Face Thread

It sounds like we might be getting The Riddler, and I would really really like to see Nolan do Catwoman.

Black Mask would be an easy villain to fit into Nolan's world, but I'm curious as to whether they would be able to do Black Mask without him seeming too much like a second-rate knock-off The Joker (a morbid sadist who claws his way to the top of Gotham's criminal underworld).

It appears that way there, Chief

I'm sorry, you're going to have to go into more detail than that. Killing off Two Face doesn't justify Nolan not respecting the mythos. I think Nolan has done an excellent job respecting the mythos.

Nice little biggoted reference to Shoemacher. I don't like his Bat movies, but even I'm not so calous and narrow minded to ridicule a man for his sexual preference. That's pretty offensive if you ask me[/quote]

I see what you did there. I call everyone f@gs despite their sexual preference, but nice try.

I am now really starting to hope Riddler is in the third movie. Good Gawd, another Chris Nolan mind-***** movie, except with Batman as the main character. Batman, the world's greatest detective, trying to follow the clues of the Riddler. Oh man, that could be just a hell of a lot of fun to see in Nolan's hands.

Agreed.

Quite right. I have yet to see another later Two-Face story that even compares to the dramatic power of his origin.
I think a great story could be told on film about Two-Face acting as a lethal vigilante, with Batman aiming to take him in, and rehabilitate him.
Sadly, we won't get that chance now for years.

Rumors aside... We need to see more of two-face in the third installment. He should be the primary character. I would like to see either Mad Hatter or Mr. Freeze. Two psychologically challenged characters that I think Nolan could run with.

No Arnold though... My pick, Patrick Stewart as Feeze and Daniel Day Lewis as Mad Hatter.

1. Lack of perma white on the Joker
2. The Cut Smile
3. Two Face's demise
4. Burning down Wayne Manor in BB
5. Using Henri Ducard as an alias for Ras Al Gul when he was a seperate character.

I'm sure I'll have a few others after I see TDK, so check back with me in 3 weeks.

Then you truly are shallow. BTW, you're not supposed to circumvent the obsenity filter. There was a post on this a few weeks ago. You'll probably get a warning for this.

I don't get how people think Freeze could work AT ALL in the Nolan-verse.

Daniel Day Lewis would be excellent in any role that he plays.

Wait. You think Nolan is killing the Batman franchise?
By killing off the villains yes, yes he has. Hes done what it took Burton and Schumacher 4 movies, in just two films.

If the rumor is true about Two Face getting killed....

**** you Nolan

I like it, it's refreshing. Really I'll settle for all the left-turns I can get, I don't think Begins had nearly enough originality

Ok.

How is it refreshing when the last Batman franchise did the same thing?

Catwoman.
Truth be told though, my friend. Halle certainly has the acting chops for the role. I think she was just the victim of a poor script and a poor production. I would have loved to had seen her in the role if the movie was done right.

If
Two-Face is killed off
, the filmmakers have missed a golden opportunity.

I find it odd that they would go that route with such a mad-on for the LONG HALLOWEEN representation of the character. Because the logical next step is "supervillains of Arkham" coming into play, with him involved somehow.

The Penguin could feature as the new mob boss in the wake of the fallen mob in THE DARK KNIGHT, and The Riddler and any number of other fantastic characters could figure into the third Batman film. Although I'm all for seeing Ra's Al Ghul come back, with a female at his side.

What superhero movie besides X-men that has returning villains not counting characters who later become villains like Harry.Nolan's Two-Face will be way better than Batman Forever's Two-Face. Even though he has one third of the screen time then in Forever. Mr. Freeze and Riddler need not be in Nolan's universe besides maybe a cameo. Right now what is needed is a strong female character like Catwoman.
