Who was the better Harvey Dent?

Billy Dee Williams. Despite his minimal amount of screen time and lack of character development, he didn't royally **** up the character like Jones did.

Tommy Lee was perfect, he looked like Dent (and two face) and he had the talent... but he did nothing. Nothing good.

It was the script and director! Mr Jones was pefrect to play the role.


I didn't like Williams or Jones take but best one is Richard Moll who voiced Harvey Dent/Two-Face. In B:89 Dent's screentime was shorter then Murphy's Scarecrow in Begins.

Now we can see Harvey Dent getting justice in Nolan's Batman franchise, June 2008!! I can't wait!

Seriously, Dent's supposed to be this good looking, brash, well mannered, strong featured, dark haired All American kind of guy. TLJ always come off as a homely southern gentleman with a stick up his ass. I love him but he was wrong for Two Face from the start IMO.

No. I agree with you. I also like Jones, but not in this movie. Out of the 2 I think Billy Dee totally owned. I would have loved to see him do Two Face.

Even if they didn't bring back BDW, there were numerous other actors they could've chosen for Dent in BF. Ray Liotta, Denzel Washington and Andy Garcia all would've been better picks for the role than TLJ.

Now i know not everyone is a Burton-Batman movie lover, but had he been able to direct the third movie, we would of had a great trilogy. And we would of gotten a great, dark, serious TwoFace.

I honestly believe deep down Billy Dee Williams would had done really good as Harvey Dent/TwoFace in the 3rd movie. He was so underrated back then. I was happy with his B89 role and hoped they'd continue with him in Returns, but WB cut Billy out.

Billy Dee Williams wanted to play it too, which is why he joined onto B89. Shame because this could of really boosted him along with Star Wars and well, i think we missed out on a great TwoFace portrayl.

TLJ could def pull off a serious TwoFace, but it was the director and script most def.

Ironically Batman Forever was on television this morning on TBS I believe. I couldn't help but laugh when Jones said....

"Yes Batsy we are serving you the same acid that made us the men we are today....my dear old boy Bats...dead!!!"

Billy Dee Williams would have been fantastic as Two-Face.

TLJ did an effective job. Many seem to overlook the menace he brings to the screen when he's not goofing around with Carrey. And he does play both sides of the Two-Face personality.

Jim Carrey was a horrible Riddler. It was kind of hard to take a guy who talks with a$$ cheeks (Ace Ventura) serious in a Batman film.

Exactly, i thought he did well. He seemed pretty buddy buddy with Gordon, like at the fundraiser and stuff. Doing his D.A stuff, calling people trying to find out about the Joker's product tampering.

We got a brief glimpse of what everyone wants to see in the Begins sequel, Batman, Gordon and Dent trying to stop the Joker. Granted it wasnt even close to being a great representation of it...but we saw it first on screen here lol.

I think Burton wanted to develope Billy more in Returns and then have TwoFace in the 3rd, but WB wouldnt allow him. Sucks.....Billy Dee may have rocked the show

Tommy lee jones was a joke all the movie. He never was confortable with the role and he was trying to do a joker impersonator or a jim carrey impersonator, and the whole thing was pathetic. Also, he didnt look the part. Billy dee williams was a good harvey dent, but i cant see him as two face.

I didn't like Tommy Lee because he was so goofy and I don't imagine thats what Two Face should be like. In TAS he was evil and I think thats how he should be not goofy.

I dont think they used Tommy Lee Jones at all. I think the aim was to cast for resemblance and namesake.
