has anybody noticed how most"ordinary"people in the MU fear and distrust superfolk?

True, some heroes/heroines are more popular than others( the Avengers and FF more popular than the X-Men), but there are times when even Captain America got to be unpopular(pace the Secret Empire storyline in the 1970s)despite all he'd done for his country. Others such as Greer Grant Nelson( the original Cat) were unpopular simply on grounds of her gender(and I'm currently writing a novel involving members of the Winter Guard who were disliked on grounds of nationality even though the Cold War is long over).
