i've seen a lot of posiitve reviews for this web host. i dont really knwo much about hosting a website, mainly cause my current on is on my free space from my broadband provider. so has anyone had any experiance with this company.

also i'm wondering would it be better for me to use a uk based company

The great thing about the internet is that you are no longer limited to local or provencial boundaries in your purchasing power, and that includes webhosting. Best deal for the best price wins, regardless of location. I don't know much about hostgator.com, but Bluehost.com is outstanding, with excellent features, support and pricing.

thanks guys, a lot of review sites say hostgator is the best one online, the only downside i can see is you have to get your domain name seperatly

Geez, looking at the stuff they provide, they look like a great deal. Good price too. Anyone know of any free webhosts? If the ads don't take over the screen, I wouldn't mind that option.
