I was thinking about sites such as eHarmony and match.com lately, and was wondering whether or not anyone here has ever used either one or anything similiar.

So...what's your sign?

i like to take long walks on the beach

Those sites are dumb. Stay away.

shagged a load of random Chavs from faceparty if that counts?

My friend met his wife through an online dating service, I thought he was nuts, but he is perfectly happy now. Whatever blows your hair back.

I met my wife of almost five years now, on AOL. Her and I have been happy ever since.

I know for me, what made it easier was that I felt a lot more brave. There was no fear of rejection. If I was rejected online, I could just move on. In person, if I was rejected it hurt a whole lot more.

someone at work met her husband on match.com, and since I recently moved to a new city and don't know a lot of people (and I'm single) they kept pushing me to take a look. I took a look, and, well, yah that's not gonna work out for me, no thanks. 2 minutes and I was outa there. if someone found someone online, great, but that's totally not the thing for me

For some people it is no good, for others it works out fine.

I have made business connections and friends online, so I can understand those who want to seek love online and am glad for them if they have found it.

I can't wait until the day everyone realizes the internet is just real life without walking and standing.

You can get taken advantage of in real life, you can get taken advantage of on the internet. You can have your heart broken in real life, you can have your heart broken on the internet. You can fall in love in real life, you can have cybersex on the internet. Etc, etc.

Plus...i ordered a sandwhich from New Orleans the other day, it arrived the next day, and it was oh so good. That is just cool.

It is a big and good sandwhich. Mmmm.

The shipping is all included in the price.

Yeah. That's what I meant. $35 of the $45 bucks is for shipping. So, technically, you're only paying $10 bucks for sandwich.

I thought of that after I replied, you're exactly right.

I just saw it on tv one night, on some food show, and I got excited about it. :csad:
