Has anyone here ever use on-line dating?

Many years ago when I first got on the internet, I started talking to someone via a pen pal site. We talked and flirted, nothing serious, one of us were usually dating someone else. Two years later, when she came by me, we hit it off and started dating. However, the distance got the better of us and we broke up.

I think there isn't as much of a stigma with dating websites as there use to be. I think when someone is out of school, in a workplace environment and most of their friends are attached, it becomes a lil harder to meet people. So if you are having such a hard time, I don't think it's that much of an issue to sign up to one of those sites.

I was thinking about sites such as eHarmony and match.com lately, and was wondering whether or not anyone here has ever used either one or anything similiar.

Just accept your fate and be alone for the rest of your life

I did, and I learned the following things...

- People lie a lot in their profiles, including pictures.

- People who´re technically a perfect match often turn out to have no real chemistery or attraction together

- The other person is most certainly going out with other online people as she/he´s sweet-talking you and when you think it´s doing well they may make up an "old flame that suddenly came back to my life" to excuse themselves
