Has Canada ever been a focal point for blockbuster movies?

Past couple of decades, major block busters that are action/destruction oriented, have featured many cities across the world. Of course, there are the typical NYC and LA, but recently, even continents like Africa have seen action in the movies, so, has there ever been mass destruction in a Canadian setting? (Niagra Falls would be an awesome setting I would think)
