I've heard alot of people talk about Venom and Sandman getting killed at the end of Spidey 3. I would assume that Sandman will die,but Venom? I'd like to see him live on and then have a whole Spidey vs. Venom film for part 4. Venom is too cool a character to have appear for a few minutes and then die. I also don't like the idea of Venom(or any villian)always dying at the end of a film. Goblin died,Doc Ock died;etc. Why not have them live to fight another day? I understand Raimi and co. not wanting to show the same villian for their next film,but that's why you have a new baddie in there as well.

Raimi's a smart cookie. He hated Venom before he opened his eyes and researched the character: saw the potential (he said so himself). I would be very surprised if Venom dies in 3... he'll probably be defeated and shipped off to prison, or mysteriously disappear. The menace of Venom deserves more than half a movie to explore.

Worst case scenario, Brock dies and the Symbiote gets away, or, a'la the comics, the Symbiote "dies" and Brock's arrested. Raimi could then easily have the Symbiote regenerate at some point in the future.

well it looks like it tries to re bond with peter again, so hopefully brock is ko'd or when it leaves brock it kills him

Personally,I don't want Brock to die either. Even if that does happen and the symbiote lives,to me Brock IS Venom. It's like having Peter Parker die and then somebody else taking over as Spidey. It just doesn't feel right. Just my opinion,however.

i totally agree, they cant kill brock off, he is venom. its his hate for peter that helps give the symbote more power

If they capped out and pulled a "Phantom Menace" and killed him I and other fans would be pissed off.

Sandman though I think will either be killed by Venom (he bites him) or washed away by Spider-Man in a torrent.

Has anyone noticed that theres no scenes being shown of Venom fighting anyone? There is a very strong possibility that Venom actually fighting Spidey will be saved for part 4, to make up for the fact that the Norman Osborn three movie storyline is probably ending.

i posted a while back that raimi was undecided on how to end the movie - got this info from a sony source working on the movie...and that sam and his brother were taking weekends away at a cottage to discuss how to end the film....take that however you like, but i figure it means they hadn't decided on whether to kill or keep venom...or maybe whether they keep things wide open for a spiderman 4...so the Q&A leak might have let them see the fans' raction to the idea of certain things happening and made him reconsider killing certain characters

Brock being in prison would set the stage for a possibe Carnage/Cassidy appearance. I'm not saying I'd want that(I like Carnage,just not for the films yet),but I'm just throwing it out there.

Unfortunately that's Hollywoods way of dealing with the outcome of a villain. I guess it's just isn't exciting enough to see the bad guy getting hauled away to prison. They want to see a dramatic conclusion to them. I would think only one will die and that probably would be Sandman. Much like In Batman Forever where they did kill Two-Face and locked up the Riddler.

if they send him to prison then that of course will set up carnage if they go down that road then that has to be no 5, if the q and a is to belived we see hints of lizard experments in dr connors lab

me i'd rather just see venom escape not go to jail, not die, just get away and have peter know he is out there somewhere and have that as the set up for no 4

it is the dream ending, but from one of the shoots from the leaked trailler it looks like the symobote trys to rebond with peter

but i hope im wrong and venom gets away and we get a full on venom movie, with him stalking peter and his loved ones

Brock dies...Venom does not. Most likely the next movie will use the end as a cataylst for a Carnage Saga.

ok fair enough...but to know what a character is like on paper and to see a total of maybe 10 seconds of the on-screen performance out of context in various trailers doesn't mean your mind won't be changed once you see topher on the big screen being eddie
let's say gwen is his girlfriend and she dies cuz spidey wasn't fast enough, that would be something that we don't know already and could be a great reason for him to blame spiderman for problems
and if he gets fired by JJJ for taking fraudulent photos and is exposed by peter then he has a good reason to be mad...
