Has there been an issue where Doctor Octopus battles Hulk?

I don't know where this pic originally appeared, but take a look at the artwork at the top of this page. :otto:

I mean it has been donebefore in the 1982 animated Hulk series.

Yes. They fought in this issue, with Ock pretty much kicking the "Professor" version of the Hulk's ass, due mainly because of his new adamantium laced tentacles:

Hulk makes a comeback in round 2, which takes place in THIS issue, Incredible Hulk #396

Good stuff! :bh: :otto:

i wasnt aware they fought on the cartoon. I'll have to check that out!

My favorite Hulk feat was when he was sent to the sun in an orb by Doctor Doom and he had to leap from asteriod to asteriod back to earth. It was well done. As for the Hulk vs. Doctor Octopus, the rematch Hulk finger knock out Dock Ock.

Good stuff! =

THAT is what should have happened right from the start. I remember reading that the Hulk creative team at the time was ticked off at Erik Larsen and company for using Hulk and for having him lose to Ock. They immediately placed Ock in one of their stories and retaliated properly.

Agreed. Ock is a great threat for Spider-Man, or whoever, but Hulk should have made short work of him from the get-go. (Thank you, Peter David!)

I liked the professor hulk.
but he was SERIOUSLY lacking in fighting skill...

There was also an issue of the Fantastic Four where the two fought. At least I think there was

I think there was an issue of The Fantastic Four where they both fought. If memory serves me correctly.
