It paid off every time except once where I cheated in spanish class using the textbook(used the textbook when teacher wasn't looking) and I ended up failing with a 54/100

How do you use a textbook where the test basically was ripped off from and still fail?

I cheated more times than i can count when i was in high school, but when i went to college, i was too scared bc i didn't want to get caught and look like a fool. Also when i was younger, there was always the test of commitment to whoever was my current girlfriend. Sad to say, i failed miserably everytime.
