Don't force your optimism upon me. I don't want it.

optimally speaking, I opt to find openness in your otherwise outlandishly overrated yet optimistic thread.

Anytime I get forced optimism on me, I immediately watch Spider-Man 3.

Pessimism... I don't believe in that word either. How about realist... because that's what I am. Optimists can have their lalaland... I'll just be here living a defensive offense.

Oh btw, unicorns and rainbows suck.

Fortune smiled on me once. Then I realized it was looking at the guy behind me. Then Fortune laughed and kicked me in the shin. :csad:

my dad always told me that if i was optomistic and did well in school i would get a good job and not have to be a garbage man.
I did that, now im unemployed.

This reminds me of Daniel Tosh said about George Bush...

"George Bush is a perfect example of why you should never tell a ******ed kid that he can be anything he wants to be"....

Though, I have no idea how they relate. I make me laugh. Harho.

:wow: do you know this by experience??? :oldrazz:

I'm a realist about most things, a pessimist when it comes to lotteries / games of chance, and an optimist when it comes... ;)

One thing about working retail, especially being at the register, is that they force you to be optimistic.

You have to smile and be polite no matter how much of an ******* the customer is.

Ah, a fellow member of the cash register brigade. I hear you, my brother.

Whenever someone tries to force Optimisim on me I just transform and roll out!

Yeah, I hear that. Go to university and get a great job they said. Here I am, unemployed. Anyway, I just heard back from my dream job so I'm feeling very chipper at the moment.

This thread is pointless :(

I'm an optimistic realist. I realize what the real world is about, and look on the bright side of it. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Also, did you just censor "******ed"?

I was optimistic about something once. It turned out kind of okay.

I guess we're all super sane here.

If you are talking about these boards, then I agree, I have been on message boards before that had a vibe of the folk being patronising, looking down on you, generally just playing games with you for their own amusement and at the same time being self-important and holier than thou. Here, people treat you like an equal and act like nothing more than regular people with no pretentions. So I guess that means I am feeling optimistic about posting here.

There's true pessimism for you.

If you want points, make this thread something that will improve the way you see the world and how you react to it. If you want less points, choose to be less than you already are.
