On this past Halloween,I left to go to work around 6:20pm.I got called to my supervisers office around 9:45pm and we had a little meeting about me on my last leg and them telling me they are suspeding me.I washed up,left and arrived home at around 10:30pm only to find my front door ripped apart and the deadbolt on the floor.I walked in and to find my 50 inch Sony SXRD TV gone! as well as my speakers,(fronts, center and rears)subwoofer, dvd player, reciever,Playstation 2,remotes,manuals,reciepts and even all the cables and wires that hooked it all up were stolen!! I lost around 10K worth of home theater equipment. For some reason they didn't take my computer (Thank God) I immeditally called the cops when I arrived, they didn't show up till 1am...2 1/2 hours later!! No one has been caught yet.Has this ever happened to you?

Had my lawn mower stolen once, and my car got broken into (with nothing stolen).

Somebody stole my gameboy pocket in Junior High.
I think that's it.

That's what I get for going to middle school in queens.

Yep I have been robbed on foot...my car was broken into...but the worst was movie collection. I had 3000 dollars worth of vhs and dvd stolen. I had some rare gems that I will neva see again.:csad:

I came home from high school years back to find my front door wide open. Some crack head had kicked in the basement door which obviously wasn't too secured. Moron left all the electronics, jewelry, anything you could pawn and only took a jar of change that couldn't have been worth more than 30 bucks. I also had a bunch of CD's stolen out of my car twice, but that was my own fault.

never anything stolen- except when my nan told me my play doh go stolen when i was little- i cried. truth was it made a mess got thrown out. scarred for life...

That sucks I'd flip if my dvds were stolen.

Oh I did...and u know what I still think it was my next door neighbors...they always wanted to borrow my dvds.

Yep. Several years ago, my house got robbed while I was at work. They ripped a screen off the front window and then pried the whole window out with a crowbar (they're safety lock windows that CAN'T be jimmied open with a screwdriver or something). They did this in broad daylight at the back of a cul de sac of all things. Anyway, they got in, parked their car in the garage and shut the garage door and then turned my entire freaking house inside out, dumping every drawer on the floor in their quest for goodies. They got all my computer gear at the time (except for my extra Mac laptop, which I had with me at work), a couple of my guns (both of which were in lock boxes), and all my jewelry (which wasn't much since I wasn't married at the time). I also had a huge change jar that they made off with as well. They didn't touch any of my A/V equipment or my massive CD collection. They were very specific about what they took. Turns out that there was a rash of thefts going on at that time that targeted the same specific things they took from my place and followed the same M.O. Thankfully my cat didn't escape out the window (he's an indoor cat) in the aftermath and they didn't hurt him. It took me days to put everything back together and man does it leave you feeling violated. I didn't sleep well for MONTHS after that, even after I got the window fixed and had a security system installed. I have stickers from my security company on all of the windows now. And where I live, the cops respond to unresolved home alarm calls almost instantly (I know because I've had a couple of false alarms due to the garage door not getting shut all the way and swaying just enough to tip the alarm). Haven't had any problems since. It takes a long time to get over the thought of someone going through all of your personal stuff like that. Especially when they do it in such dramatic fashion and basically throw everything you own all over your house.

I haven't, but my brother and sister-inlaw had their duplex robbed once.

If any of my personal belongings were stolen, I'd probably die inside.

you do actually die inside, but once they have you targeted, they'll get in. All you can do is hide your valuables while your away and install a home secruity that will call police, but that costs $$ alot of people don't wanna spend.

1. Cops are slow. :cmad: eating them donuts all the time!

2. Seriously, that's just pitiful. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, if that.

3. I have two pieces of evidence of my DVD Collection. One is a website. The other is a copy on the PC in a word processor. Oh, and I have pictures too. You have any of this? So the insurance can pay to replace it for you?

4. Buy a security alarm system. Good chance this won't happen with one of those.

5. Put up a sign of :cmad: BEWARE OF DOGS! on you property.

Sorry to hear this happened man. Hopefully it will be replaced and I hope you buy some type of alarm.

Yup. In my first house years ago when I was a little kid. It was pretty scary. I think I ended up having a super freaky realistic nightmare based on it. It was nuts.

Yeah...one time my families vehicle was stolen.

My apartment was broken into but nothing was stolen. My expensive camera was hanging on the wall in my room and the guy didn't even take it.

Nope, just a pair of pants once in gym. You should sue the cops though, late bastards.

A guy who works for me recently had his apartment burglarized. He lost every major electronic device he had (TV, laptop, xbox 360, etc.), total suckage. He said that whoever broke in pried a window open, so he's not even sure if his renter's insurance will cover it because there's no sign of damage, thus no "evidence" of breaking and entering/forced entry.

Yeah, one time my old house was robbed...

They made off with a bunch of my DVDS, an XBOX, a PS2, my games, CDS.

To this day I'm still trying to recollect some of the stuff that was stolen.

Have you ever had your House/Apartment burglerized? Nope.

But yes. I have had stuff stolen from me.

All my life I've had 4 bikes. All 4 were stolen :cmad:

3 weeks ago while doing laundry at some local coin-op laundry mat. Some jackass stoled a cd case out of my car!!!! :cmad:

Haha, that reminds me of all the bikes and scooters I've had stolen.

Freaking drunk teenagers looking for a fast way home:cmad:

No they tried and failed drilled holes in the windows trying to pop the latch..... it was locked ;)

I had someone steal my bike out of the backyard (in the time it took for me to take the groceries into the house and put them away).

My in-laws went to Tim Hortons, when they got back they had been robbed. They had their place broken into during the day and the theives pretty much took everything smaller than a couch/sofa (computers, jar of change, liquor, etc).

Honestly, house burglary has always been one of my fears, so thank goodness it's never happened to me (yet :( )or I'd probably be paranoid as hell. When I was little I'd be lying in bed in the dark, and I'd imagine a thief sneaking in the house through my window.....scared the heck outta me.
