It's an Italian pop group formed by the brothers Maurizio and Guido de Angelis. They recorded a lot of songs for films and TV series in their home country, and also some Terence Hill & Bud Spencer stuff. During the 70s, they were popular with songs like Flying Through The Air, Dune Buggy, Zorro is Back, Orzowei, Sandokan, Miss Robot, Bulldozer, Sheriff...and in the 80s; Fantasy, Starshine Rainbow etc

Their most known song is a stand alone one, though. It's Santa Maria and it managed to climb on single charts in several European countries.

same here popoyez. :)

In between, I know Oliver Onions who was the British writer and had written over the 40 novels. ;)

De Angelis would have been a better name for the group I'm sorry to say. The name they chose makes them sound like they're selling produce.

The picked that name because they're Italian. Oliver Onions is a great name for a brand, much better than, let's say, Garlic Pizzas.

Santa Maria was the 18th best selling single in Germany between 1980 and 1998. That's 18 years, can you believe it!!!!!
