Hawaii Five-O - Part 2

Yes apparently so. Though half of the main cast has cycled out. Wo Fat's death in Season 5 was sort of the emotional conclusion for me.

Is that one really boring guy that Hollywood tried way too hard to make a thing still there? Alex O'Something?

Well he ultimately became the lead of an 8+ year broadcast network series. He is in the top 1% of those with the acting dream.

I believe you're thinking of Sam Worthington. And hey, the dude at least still has the Avatar sequels coming out.

I stopped watching during Season 9 (or is it Season 8?) - whichever one was the last season. Well, it's more that I never managed to pick it up again before it broke for Christmas, and then too much time had passed and I don't feel like watching a Christmas episode in summer.

I agree it went downhill after Kono and Chin Ho left. I also preferred when they had Michelle Borth.

They shouldn't have killed off Wo Fat so early or captured him in such an undignified way.

Wo Fat was such a great villain, ( the best so far) unpredictable and both tactically brilliant and physically deadly. And of course Mark Dacascos played him wonderfully.

I didn't mind the Wo Fat capture - love that episode ( the Tv show within a tv show) especially how a gun battle spontaneously breaks out during filming.

IMO They shouldn't have killed him off, as they could have got a lot of mileage from future appearances.

Gabriel Waincroft wasn't a bad villain, although with his hairstyle he looked like a bit like an Elvis impersonator IMO. Again, he died too soon.

Michelle Shioma....meh.

Victor Hesse was great, another guy they shouldn't have killed off so early.

Other than a good McGarrett beatdow ( and some of his fights in season 1-5 are epic) probably the thing I used to enjoy most was the random appearances of former LOST cast members and seeing them interact with Chin and Jerry ( and Joe White).

That high concept of an Oprah type show when Wo Fat just shows up was one of those episodes that keep me coming back knowing that the writers have some gem stones left in them,

Katrina Law just seems to be playing Nissa Al Ghul. I guess she's going to join the team now that Jerry is leaving. I'm not sad he's going though, because he was a bit annoying like that previous medical examiner.

Why does Danno look like a white supremacist now with that haircut? It's not a good look for him. I'm bored of his and McGarrett's banter or arguments.

Jerry 's going.......well no reason to watch this show - although I am a fan of Katrina Law. TBH the only reason I watched the show was to hear Steve and Danno's married couple arguments, and if Danno's cut his hair the end must be near.

We're about 2 seasons behind down here, sounds like there isn't a lot to look forward to.

I left the show as soon as Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park left. I don't know what Kim is doing now, but I know that Park is doing ABC's knockoff of This is Us.

White supremacist haircut? People like David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo have also worn a variation of the same hairstyle.

So did that other female leave already, once again leaving Tani as the only female?

No with 5-0 being a large unit it seems that at least one member is missing every week. Junior had been gone since the crossover with Magnum PI and Danny is infamously missing for multiple episodes and working solo on B stories with no interactions with the rest of the task force.

As a different character it looks like. Why do they need more on the team when it's so big already and they can't even fit everyone in as it is?
Its an old show. Captain Grover who should be an onscreen grandpa to join Duke anytime hasn't been moving as well this year for a retired SWAT commander now 5-0 gunslinger and Cousin Oliver being added might be an attempt to not jump a shark and possible maintain the racial diversity balance.. In any case only McGarret and the governor made it to the end of Jack Lord's run.

Will Danno make it to the end this time?

Yeesh, why is this show still on? This is the bad part of shows lasting long past their expiration dates.

It is the new TV model of shows and their spinoffs getting twenty plus TV seasons. CSI finally crapped out the star senior NCIS agents are older and in worse shape then supporting character Captain Grover/Chi McBride and the Criminal Minds spinoffs didn't catch on.

Five -0 being the bird in hand is better than trying a new Scorpion in the bush for bringing back the biggest audience. Look at the cap of Friday night, after 10 years that Tom Selleck would be the second police commissioner grandfather in the family.

Grey's Anatomy and Law And Order SVU will probably still be around in 50 years at this point.

As for 5-0? I don't think it will last that much longer. Seeing as it's in the same universe as Magnum PI, I would not be at all surprised if the secondary characters from 5-0 (Kamekona, Duke, Noelani) appear more frequently whenever 5-0 ends.

At least Supernatural is finally ending this year.
