yeah if you're gonna do Ozymandias as an old man, Irons is the guy
I'm irrationally happy that they appear to be keeping the logo, lol.
Did I see Rorschach there?
That Rorschach is very much a realistic, rough looking take, it appears. No magic mask with no eyeholes.
With this story taking place in the modern day and Rorschach has obviously been killed by Dr. Manhattan. That Rorschach is most likely the new one. Makes more sense that he just has a plain mask with holes in it. I haven't kept up with Doomsday Clock so I don't know if the comic explains how the new Rorschach in the comics has the same moving ink mask that the old Rorschach had.
Clever posting on the instagram page. Reminds me of Moore's 9 panel page style in the comic.
That's pretty cool!
That Jeremy Irons wardrobe, from what I can see of it anyway, is 100% Veidt.
With Ozymandias at Gila Flats, is he going to try to recreate Dr. Manhattan?
Is that Jean Smart? Could she be playing an older Silk Spectre? Or could Frances Fisher?
When her casting was announced, it was said that she's some sort of government agent hunting down vigilantes. Possibly Comedian's daughter (or some other relative?) as her name's reportedly Agent Blake.
Very interesting stuff.
What a shirt collar!
Kinda iffy on the cinematography, but everything else looks really good so far.
Interesting. I just saw her red/brown hair in the car side mirror and it gave me that sort of vibe.
This is exactly what I'm hoping for in general. The primary thing I disliked about the Snyder version was that fantastical, stylized look, when a large part of the appeal of the GN for me was that conceit of "what if people really did this in our world?" The emergence of a being like Dr. Manhattan would've been way more chilling if it happened in a world that looked and seemed just like our own. Snyder was too interested in making these people look cool, which they were never really supposed to be, imo.
Agreed. I’m ready for a take on Watchmen that hits the right themes and intent, instead of just a slavishly devotion to the look of it.
That Rorschach is reminding me too much of the bags scene in Django Unchained. Did Rorschach bring any extra bags? Will he go "full regalia" at some point?
Same here, i expected the imagery to pop a bit more. Its even more noticeable when they share the clip with game of thrones which looks stunning. We shall see..
Not a fan of that Rorschach mask. Reminds me of Grifter from WildCATS, only crappier.
I'll be curious to see who the new Rorschach given that in Doomsday Clock it's
Reggie Long, son of Malcolm Long and I could see Yahya Abdul-Mateen playing him but he's a bit young for the role if it's set in the present
I guess that explains how the new Rorschach in the comics has the moving ink mask. In the comics Rorschach never got his mask and suit back at the prison and he had to retrieve his backup outfit from his apartment.
We don't have a time frame for when this might air, do we?
