Comedy HBO's The Righteous Gemstones

Wonder what the odds are that we see a return appearance from Harmon or the Montgomeries before the end.

I'd say fairly decent but maybe not before the finale.

You know, they showed his name in the credits, but I didn't see or hear
Michael Rooker
at all unless he was possibly the robber from the flashback.

Also, loved that all three siblings just made a beeline to grieve in the icebox. The restaurant workers didn't seem too concerned, so that could not have been the first time that it happened.

Well, there's a video of him on Instagram learning how to water ski, so he'll probably be in next week's episode. (Maybe he was teased after the credits, I'm not sure.)

This isn’t Succession or Game of Thrones, but I still need to see BJ come out on top.

Man has been put through too much.
When he put his face in his hands after Judy called him an invalid. :weeping:

That whole scene was gold.

“Okay. So we’re going to show your dick, like, a whole bunch this season.” - McBride pitching Walton Goggins on season four

I did enjoy Eli telling off the kids and Amber. Honestly, especially Amber. You can’t watch your husband act a fool for this long and act surprised when someone calls him out on it.

I want to assume that he had a quota with the network, too! "Okay, HBO, you want me on your White Lotus show and Gemstones, you gonna see some Goggins dick somewhere!"

Goodness, that episode was filthy.

I'm pretty sure that Zaslav mandated more penis in HBO shows between this, House of the Dragon, White Lotus, etc. :o

There was a ton of them in one of the locker room scenes of Euphoria, before Zaslav joined, so maybe he wanted the network to make up for lost full frontal ground.

I maintain that no one should be complaining about a lack of full frontal male nudity on at least some networks anymore! You can't really avoid it.

We've been swindled. :o

Mae-Mae’s throat chop aside, I’m actually surprised it’s taken this long for anyone to hit Judy.

Okay, well this headline certainly scared the **** out of me…

But fortunately…

Oh Dr. Watson, what are you up to? :o

Spoilers for those who haven’t watched the finale of White Lotus…

Not sure how well that birth date gels with what we know about the character, but still funny.

I know the young actors were too damn good to recast, but it is amusing to see how little Jesse and Judy have aged over what’s supposed to be 13 years.

Also, if things are heading where it seems they are…
As a Walking Dead fan, it’s funny that Michael Rooker might be the descendant of Josh McDermitt.

I'm happy they finally gave little Kelvin a chance to shine for the last Interlude. Him sneaking into Judy's room to check out Teen Beat had me cracking up. "Seven reasons to love Hayden...like you need them."

Man, I'm really going to miss the younger actors in this show. I don't know if I've said this before but each of them are hilarious especially the kids playing Kelvin and Jesse.

The kid playing Jesse is so spot on that it's funny and honestly while the ages never made sense to me I'm always able to forgive it because I enjoy the actors so much in those roles.

Also, Michael Rooker was a nice surprise cameo.

The downside of the young Gemstones being so well cast is that you look at young Seann William Scott last night (who did an perfectly good job) and think “Sorry, I’m not really getting Stifler from him.”

Tonight’s ending with Kelvin felt like the first real indication so far (story-wise) that this thing is actually coming to an end.

Loving Judy beefing with a Capuchin and Baby Billy casting his own delusional ass as Teenjus.
