I always thought it'd be terrific if they somehow interconnected the seasons with the cult.

Of course, some would geekasm if they had a fourth or fifth season uniting all the past detectives.

I do believe there's a set photo from a while back with Farrell and Kitsch involved in a shootout that hasn't happened yet.

You are correct. :) I remember that now.

The story for this season hasn't hooked me (so far) like the first two episodes of season one did, but I love the way the show looks and I love the atmosphere and the performances are very solid.

Also...dat ending!

I just dont know
Im 99% sure he lived as Farrell is shown in the shootout set pics. But all the explanations would be so lame to me
1. The killer used rock salt or rubber bullets.
2. Somehow his vest blocked 2 close range shotgun shots (pretty sure that's impossible)
3. He's a ghost/vision in the shootout set pics
4. It was all a dream.
5. Somehow he just miraculously survives.

Really want to see how he survives, but I cant think of a good explanation

Could be [BLACKOUT]rubber bullets[/BLACKOUT].

When Crowman shot him the second time you can see his gut tear open. It was buckshot or some other sort of lethal shell shot. But I'm not sure his character is dead. The preview for next week is vague. They just say he was shot. They don't say he is dead. But if he isn't dead it's going to take a time jump to get him back involved. The first shot would have shredded a not so small amount of his small intestine and maybe his spine and the second shot would have obliterated his descending colon. There's no getting back to 100% after a gunshot injury like that. He'll be ****ting in colostomy bags the rest of his life.

Yeah, if he's not dead... he has to be pretty screwed up.

Unless, this is a ploy to make him look like he has a connection to this whole thing already... like he does.

I was shocked for a good minute or two, [blackout]but then I remembered the shot of Farrell in the ski mask shushing someone in the trailer[/blackout]. But still, damn.

That shot of Farrell in the ski mask shooshing was in the premiere.

It was? When?

Jesus, that premiere must have bored me more than I thought if I already forgot that.

Give me a sec and I'll check. Can't remember off the top of my head.

Edit: 32 minutes into the episode. It's in-between the scene where Ani (McAdams) and her partner question the two maids about the missing girl and the scene where Ani talks to her dad (David Morse's character).

It would be a shame if Velcoro is dead, he's the character that has intrigued me most thus far
.

I can't say I'd miss him. He's a ****-heel.

You guys wondering about the ending, did any of you see the trailer for the series or set photos?

We see Velcro clean shaven, walking at some point, or him with the moustache in an airport going up stairs. Hell, the set photos of him wearing a vest, next to Paul, behind a bus, visibly in a gunfight.

So yeah, big misdirection.

Another solid episode. Bezzerides is a sex addict, that's what I'm thinking anyway.

I don't think Ray dies, yet anyway.

was I the only one that detected a little incest with Kitch character and his "mom" :csad:

and that ending WOW!!
