New season starts tomorrow, hope this season be better then last year

It's on, anyone watching it?

I am on the wrong coast. Can't wait for this to start. Have seen every season and just love Ramsey. The only problem I have is that they are playing it back to back with Master Chef. The change in Ramsey on each show is starling. I think they should of just split the show on separate nights. Two hour blocks of each.

Qualified cooks need not apply :)

Take into consideration I am white.. ;)

I think this show goes out of it's way to get "white trash", this year seems to have the biggest crop of them on the women's team.

That one the size of the mobile home she probably lives in is especially annoying to me so far.

Nona's back? ;)

I'm still debating whether to check this out. I liked the first 3 seasons or so, but the last few years have seemed very staged with focus put on drama instead of the dishes. Plus it seems like they purposely cast 2 or 3 terrible cooks each season for the "lulz" now. I know nothing about cooking, so it raises an eyebrow when I know more about a dish than a chef who's been cast on Hell's Kitchen. And finally Ramsey seems to have lost some of the passion he had in the beginning. He seems a bit weary now, like it's just another paycheck.

almost forgot a new episode on tonight

Okay, I watched the first episode of Hell's Kitchen. What is it with these chefs and referring to themselves in the third person? I heard about three or four chefs do that. How over-inflated must your ego be? Of course, not surprisingly it was the worst chefs who did that (Royce, Tavon...)

And the fat abomination from the trailer-park.... I just know I'm going to hate her. She's a horrid troll with no redeeming qualities.

Her and that "chubby" blonde with the cannibal teeth... shudder. I mean if they at least did not act the way they are I would not dislike them (as much)..

As for Master Chef. Though unlikely I hope the Blind woman does well, she had a nice attitude. I just don't know how she will fare with time constraints as she does her thing slower than others (obviously).

That Army guy talking about his son made my Wife Cry.

Watched the second episode of Hell's Kitchen. You can only enjoy hearing Ramsay say "It's RAW!" so many times. Or believe that someone could mess up so many times. Won't be watching anymore because at least in previous seasons you could find someone to like or would be okay if they won.

I've watched the past two seasons of MasterChef and I'm liking what I've seen with the contestants so far.

Way to go Hells Kitchen. Perpetuating stereotypes is what this show does best. Highly dissapointed with the casting here with putting on yet another stereotypical angry black woman. Seriously for the more recent seasons, it seems to be the same. Angry black chick pisses off all the women, isnt that great a cook, and is always put up for elimination by her teammates, yet Ramsey keeps her around to piss everyone off. Ugh! Autumn and Elise were at least cute

Speaking of which, I cant believe her name is Barbie. When I first heard that, I thoughtit was one of the blondes

I really wish Ramsey would switch the formula up instead of it being the SAME every year. If I were producing the show, I would have Ramsey pick the two best signature dishes in the first episode and those two would then select their teammates based on nothing more than first impressions and Ramsey's commentaries on the dishes they prepared. Men vs Women is so stale.

While I agree that reality shows (not just Hell's Kitchen, but also Survivor among others) perpetuate racist stereotypes about minorities (the black woman is always mouthy, "ghetto", uneducated and has an ego the size of the moon), Barbie has not shown herself to be anywhere near as bad as Elise was last season. Elise was just human trash. I got *****e-chills when I saw your picture of her. In fact, I'm kinda pissed you even reminded me she actually existed in the first place. Anyway, being another also-ran on Hell's Kitchen will be the highlight of her lamentable life and I'm satisfied she has forever faded back into obscurity where the only people she'll be bullying, yelling at and making miserable with her presence will be her fellow ghetto-rats.

Anyway, I digress. I don't hate Barbie. Yet. I don't particularly like her, but I really dislike the other women on the team more. They're manipulative and vindictive. Robyn, Kimmie the swamp-monster that walks among them, and her only slightly slimmer blonde friend with the poor dental-work are just pieces of crap. They ganged up on her from the beginning. I also hate how they pushed Roshini who is meek and has trouble standing up for herself, into nomination for elimination even though her service was perfectly fine. Ramsey is unpredictable and could have easily dismissed her for his own arcane (or show-driven) reasons.

Besides the women, I really hate Royce on the men's side. In fact I hate anyone who refers to themselves in the third-person. What a *****e.

Anyway guys, JJJ's Ulcer has to get some rest!

Hell's Kitchen has really gone downhill, but I enjoy watching the train wreck. Master Chief seems to still be a better show though.

Not sure I well continue watching HK, getting boring with the same crap

Master Chef is enjoyable for me. HK on the other hand is just unwatchable. The people are just disgusting.

So it's ok when they show the white chefs not cooking well, or getting angry and loud but it's racist if they show the black chefs that way? :whatever:

When the hell did I say the show was racist?

Why are you saying the show is perpetuating the angry black female stereotype when everyone on the show acts pretty much the exact same way no matter their color? Is Barbie supposed to handle the stress better then the rest because she's a black female?

bc it is a typical stereotype. I wasnt screaming racisim bc I dont think the show is racist and trying to say anything with it. Its for ratings and create drama; I get it.

You so miss the point. The point was there's angry white people, but also positive white people on the show. When has there ever been a positive black, female person on this show? Never. If there was some balance, people wouldn't be making this complaint.

I watched Ramsey's new UK show gordon behind bars channel 4 the other night.

Gordon in prison getting convicts to cook. He was alot less mouthy with murders and criminals than he usually is for good reason.

TOTALLY AGREE!

At least Master Chef has actual human beings compared to the things "Hell's Kitchen" cast each season.

There's a serious difference in quality between the shows.
