Far From Home Helmet, yes or no?

Fishbowl helmet?

  • Yes, he should mostly have the helmet

  • No, that won't translate to a film

  • He can have it a little bit as an Easter Egg, but not for most of the movie

Yes, he should have the helmet. If not for any other reason, it gives Spidey something easy to poke fun at.

He should absolutely have the helmet and this here is another big reason in support of him having it.

I highly suspect that the set footage we saw of Mysterio was the end of the final fight, so either the helmet got broken, knocked off, or he took it off after he was defeated, which is why he didn't have it on. He's going to have the helmet, guys, literally the only time he's been depicted without one was in USM.

Fishbowl or heck no! Fishbowl or heck no! FISHBOWL OR HECK NO!!

Sorry...I just want to see the fishbowl.

I'll wait and see. Your post sounds exactly like the kinds of apologetic posts people have made in the past for why someone isn't in costume. It's probably only the proto-suit. Or they'll get it in the sequel. Or they have to earn it. Same thing people said about Iron Fist. Same about Fant4stic. We've seen it so many times before.

It's entirely possible they may be foregoing the fishbowl altogether.

Marvel Studios have tended to embrace the costumes, so I doubt this. My thinking is the fishbowl will be CG.

The Vulture looks drastically different in Homecoming, which for that character is understandable. And although I think Shocker will get a second chance properly, he was portrayed very different too. So I fear a bit about Mysterio.

However, what we've seen from that set pic looks very accurate. And since they managed to get something from the classic costume of Vulture, like the fur around the neck, I think we'll see the fishbowl too.

I want a practical fishbowl though for some shots. It's good to see someone actually having to walk around with that.

In fact, I wouldn't mind if Gyllenhaal wore one and then it got stuck on his head for the entire duration of the filming while they "try" to figure out how to remove it. :o

I doubt they will do it practically since their is all the shifting mist that is happening within it, and I doubt Jake wants mist in his face.

There's no way they'd make his costume THAT comic accurate and not give him the helmet to complete the look. People who have seen the suit- have already said he has the helmet

I hope at some point he has a gold fish swimming in it as an illusion to unsettle Spidey.

What other fish would people like to see?

They haven't exclusively embraced costumes. Shocker is probably the easiest example to point to.

He's a glorified henchman in the movie, though. Look at Vulture. The embraced many classic elements of his design, even if they drastically changed others. I don't see them removing the primary thing Mysterio is known for in the comics.

Yes he needs the helmet it's what makes the character. It's like Batman not having pointed ears, Superman without the insignia, wonder Woman with no bracelets or lasso, etc. Who would want to see those? Not me. He needs the dome helmet even if it looks strange on screen.

Well according to the footage descriptions he indeed wears the helmet, so there's no need to worry.

Would be cool to see the inside of Myterio's helmet incorporate something resembling Stark's Jarvis, rather than just having stellar peripheral vision. It could have something to do with his illusions, filtering out reality from the non. Tons of opportunities there for pre-illusion shots showing how everything is carefully calculated based on his environment and surroundings.

I'm glad Mysterio looks exactly like does in the comics. Anything else and it would have looked like they were running from one of the most iconic Spidey rogue's comic looks.
