for those who don't know, Dwayne McDuffie is an comics writer and TV writer/producer, who created Static and other Milestone heroes, also worked on Justice League cartoons and comics, and lots of other stuff--

and he's from Detroit!

and just recently on a message board he expressed that he's been trying to get "invited" to the MotorCity Comic-con "for years".

So help a fella out!

You had me at Dwayne! Easily my favorite cartoon writer!!! He has wrote several of the best JL episodes, it sucks that he didnt get invited.

He's writing Justice League of America. He was heavily involved with the most creatively successful non-comics iteration of the DCU ever. He was heavily involved with revolutionizing race in superhero comics. He really oughtta be a guest.

I'm a comics fan and I intend to come to the Motor City Comic-Con this year.

I think that Dwayne McDuffie would be a great guest to have at the convention. As you probably know, he's been a comics writer for many years now, creating Static Shock and many of the Milestone comics character, also writing for Marvel (Damage Control) and DC, including current titles like Justice League of America, and has been a TV writer/producer for shows like Static Shock and Justice League.

Oh, and he's from Detroit!
