From what I recall the film was made in the Czech Republic, but I could be very wrong about that. I saw it on DVD about two years ago, and it can't be much older than that from what I recall.
The plot: The plot revolves around a group of three young (late teens, very early twenties) rebels. The three of them finger this upper class establishment figure and want to go vandalize his house to make a statement. They do, but he catches them in the act, and they get into a fight. They knock him out cold, and not knowing what to do they kidnap him to avoid getting caught. They take him to a log cabin out on the countryside and eventually he gains their trust. He tells them, that like these young people, he was once idealic and anti-establishment, and that he met his wife on a commune. He promises not to turn them in, and so they let him go. At the end he goes back on his promise, and sends the police after them. They have, however, left their apartment without a trace.
The film was called "The _______" and I want to say the word started with an RE.
