So I have read a lot DC comics, but it isn't made very obvious what is connected to what, I understand about the multiverse which is full of alternate universes, but how are we supposed to know which universe a story set in? I have mostly the Lantern comics so far and they all seem to be set in the same universe. I would really appreciate it if someone could explain things to me.

You don't ask for much do you? :whatever:

Basically, unless it's otherwise stated in the editors notes in the book itself, book titles or by the characters, always assume it's part of the main DCU.

Most of it is how you'd assume, Batman is Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent is Superman, everyone is a colored Lantern at some point, ect.
