World Help with Marvel Ultimate Alliance

I'm stuck in the Celestial Hall in the Mandarin mission...

I just got done with beating all of the enemies in that little pit-like area with the two boxes and the lever. I pulled the lever and it looked like a door in front of the nearby extraction point. I went over to the extraction point and the door is there but it's CLOSED.

How can I get to the next area?

Yeah, I did...But did you understand where I'm at in the game and do you remember what you did?

First i gotta know what console it is on..like PC,PSP etc.
