This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]527501[/split]
Agreed. Especially with the flying and them saying he can't fly because he hasn't embraced who he truly is or them going out of their way to hide the \S/ shield even when he wore the t-shirt. I loved the show but after I found out Welling was the reason why Superman never showed up on that show he burnt all bridges with me.This.
It was almost hilarious how much the show went out of it's way to keep from calling him Superman. I won't even touch the outfits and the silly rule about flying.
LMAO... CGIman, his not becoming Superman would have been fine if he wasn't in his mid 20s!
Reeves, Cain etc. Didn't spend 10yrs wasting time on screen waiting for their balls to drop and learn to fly. Cavill and probably all the others flew in a day. Welling spent year after year procrastinating living on a farm and pining for Lana.
And he was never Superman.
He did not become Superman because he NEVER put on the suit. He out right refused to put the suit on even when the WB offered him both Reeve and Routh suit. He never became Superman he only went as far as the blurCavill didn't fly until he was in his 30s. It was right there in the film. Reeve's Superman wasn't shown flying until he left his years of Fortress brainwashing. He was also in his 30s. Welling spent his teen years pining after the girl next door. He was a teenager. At 21, he became The Red-Blue-Blur (later The Blur) and got a job at the DP. He became Superman in the series finale after just turning 25 years-old. There is literally dialogue that says, "That was the day the boy became Superman."

You guys do realize that this is a thread for Henry Cavill right?

You do realize that was CGI. Just like Routh's shirt rip right.Tom Welling is an actor. Tom Welling does not have to become Superman. The character he played, Clark Kent, needed to put on the suit to become Superman. Clark Kent put on the suit. Also, just to be clear, there is zero evidence Tom Welling "out right refused to put on the suit" that Reeve and Routh wore. The "He" to which you are erroneously referring is Tom Welling. Clark Kent became Superman because Clark Kent put on the suit. Please learn the difference between fiction and reality.

One of the most iconic Superman moments that even Cavill's Superman has yet to have, and it features Clark wearing the suit.
This might be a better place to discuss this.
All the good it did him. Wonder how many job offers he's getting these days? At least by swallowing his pride and putting on the suit he'd have been immortalized instead of polarizing.
Yeah, we all feel for George and his struggle but if he were around in 2017 he'd be getting a **** ton of love.

As I said already WE DID NOT HAVE TO SPEND YEAR AFTER YEAR WATCHING HENRY OR CHRISTOPHER NOT FLY! As I said, it took Welling years of not flying and seeing everyone else fly like his cousin. Instead we got lame excuses of him "not embracing who he was". Henry's Superman is told he can possibly fly and he learns after one try. This isnt even about the flying; its just one piece of evidence against the show.
Smallville started out good but ended up being one stall tactic after another.
Actually I kind of like thinking he went as far as CGIman.
Also he knew he could fly for a long time and no amount of internal plot bs should stop a natural bodily ability like manipulation of gravity to manifest itself on the body whether it is controlled or not; whereas the others such as Henry's never even knew he could and he did it very quickly once he felt the inkling that he was moving of his own accord contrary to the physics of his super jump.
QFT, you said it so much better than I could. Henry and Chris found out they could fly and they went for it; Henry's Supes got back handed by a mountain and it didn't stop him from getting up and trying again.
Welling found out he should be flying and spent another 6yrs not being able to do it.
Again, you are going off-topic. There is a thread for this conversation, and there is a discussion there that is ongoing. This is the last time I say this. Any off-topic responses here will be ignored.
Last I checked I wasn't talking to you I was talking to Red Wraith. I don't care what you do especially because I've been ignoring you for hours.
