    Agreed.

Let us have one moment for it all to sink in guys.

Within the span of just ONE year, Warner Bros has lost both their Batman and Superman and still shamelessly promote their shared universe as something that should be worth investing in.

I don't know about anyone else but when you lose not one but TWO of your biggest superheroes while doing a shared universe then you have already made the biggest mistake that you could have possibly made, one that some people won't forgive so easily.

This would be an extremely sensible way for WB to move forward. It’s progressive, different, and builds on the only success they’ve had.

It will obviously never happen, because

After seeing The Nun, I'm liking the idea of Taissa as Kara.

Kind of makes me wonder, if Supergirl finds greater fame on film as well and is elevated to be a bigger hero than Superman like how she is in her current tv series, will that new status quo start being reflected on their comic counterparts as well where Superman slowly phases out as Supergirl starts to rise?

Then have some kind of versus and or team up with that HQ gang movie.

DC and their female characters has all this potential, mane.

The CW shows make over one billion a year. They are markedly more successful in profit terms than the movie division.

Meaning it will most likely come true in one way or another.lol

Not too big but not obscure either. Pretty much on what you would expect for a CW show.

That would be the Black Panther version of Wonder Woman. I think something like that is needed where nearly the entire cast and creators are female.

I doubt it. Even with all the shenanigans that's going on with movie-verse, the comics have recently consistently been re-establishing Superman as the leading figure of DC with Rebirth, from bringing his family back as THE premiere superhero family, and even his son got a well received team up book that he heavily features in. Not to mention Doomsday Clock is pretty much revolved around Superman.

Too bad that love for Superman can't be translated to how he is used And prioritised on film.

I'm still trying to wrap my head on how we even got to this point. Within one year's time, we have gone through all of this....

    - Superman is absent from all major promotion of "Justice League".

    - Most of Cavill's scenes are reshot so that they could use scenes that were poorly filmed (i.e. cinematography, CGI mustache).

    - Superman's three film arc, that was supposed to payoff in "Justice League" was abandoned.

    - All plans for Superman film have now been put on definite hold.

    - The best that we can hope for is now a cameo in Shazam and a supporting appearance in Supergirl.

    - Cavill is out and Supergirl will take his spot in the DCEU.

It's kinda sad that Cavill's final scene as Superman is the shirt rip...

Nah, because they haven't been treated well enough to ever get any that those guys would want. Welcome to the other side. If Superman ever got one of Kara's few solid storylines, my reaction would be, "of course." Talking about a character that's been "King Daddy" of the superhero genre for 80 years taking something from his little cousin is a DRAMATICALLY different scenario than the reverse, when these female characters have always been treated as "lesser than" and never been given proper A-list treatment in comics or other media....you can see that, right? Because it kinda seems like you don't.

I actually think that the shirt ripping is the best way to end anything Superman related.

    Nostalgic and iconic AF.
